Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15 - 17th December 2012]

all i did was predict the future for you, Baz87.

What did you predict that has gone on to happen? You re-reported a Telegraph article as fact and claimed Spurs could sign Allen for £5m.

Come now, this criticism of cm is excessive.

Every poster has particular teams that they enjoy bating every now and again and cm is being singled out when he is no worse than anyone else (myself included). Other than that he has opinions which are valid and understandable; any bias is just as present in everyone else.

It's not excessive. He deserves far more but the forum rules prevent that.

And if he enjoys bating certain teams then he has to put up with whatever comes back his way.

It's really not excessive. Case in point yesterday when he trots out the victim stuff again when the Liverpool fans here have made it clear they find it offensive. Everyone else seems to be able to respect that but he says whatever he can and crosses whatever line to get a rise out of people.

here's one for you, BaZ87.

if liverpool finish above swansea, i will never post in here again. if swansea finished above liverpool, are you willing to never post in here again?

I fully expect Liverpool to finish above Swansea but I'm not taking the deal because I couldn't care less whether you post again or not. Despite your desperate attempts, nothing you say bothers me. I find you funny.

so acting the victim then having it pointed out you're acting the victim is offensive?

even rodgers was at it on his post match interview.

''i don't know what we have to do, to get a penalty''

err. have something happen that warrants a penalty?

That is an excellent point.

I think it must be a Spurs-Liverpool thing.

The always a victim thing is perfectly acceptable in my eyes, it is not made with any reference to Hillborough, it is a reference to the rhetoric Liverpool supporters continually employ.

In any case, a lot of criticism is pedantic rather than actually cutting. Joe Allen is a giant boob. DM analysed who should have been purchased in the summer; Allen was the least needed player.

It doesn't matter whether you agree with it or not, if they have made it clear that they feel that way then it's about having a bit of respect for people's opinions.

lol.

ok. i'll point that out to you the next time you play them.

i forgot united and liverpool fans got on like a house on fire.

that is plainly absurd.

I henceforth reserve the right to behave like a total tool (and comment on anyone else's decision making) but I find any criticism offensive expect everyone to respect my feelings.

I think it must be a Spurs-Liverpool thing.

It all started with Modric's transfer and cm's market value (which I can't believe I forgot to mention earlier). For nearly a year cm banged on about market value (you'll have to ask him what it means) and another poster on here (that follows Liverpool) led the attempted reasoning with cm, which later turned to mocking of cm. Since then cm's been obsessed with Liverpool.

Allen was rock solid for us, and still is a good player.

I just don't think he fits in the Liverpool team, or at least needs a few years in the role before people start slating him.

I think the problem boils down to spending money where it wasn't needed, and as such he's getting the stick. Same as a team spending £15,000,000 on a defender. If he's pap, then it's a bad buy, but if he's pap and you also need a striker then it compounds the badness.

you really think that because moses (i'm not even sure he actually supports liverpool) made a few comments about modrics fee, which eventually happened to be far closer to my estimation than his), is the reason i've commented on liverpool?

i'm afraid not. i find liverpool a circus for a number of reasons. the whole 'justice for suarez' thing was what started it as i honestly couldn't believe what i was seeing.

i don't purposefully target any team, liverpool just seem to be a constant provider of entertainment. yesterday was another example.

they're comments about the team. i haven't made any comments about posters personally. unlike some.

modrics fee.

but his market value was 40 million!!

Allen needs a rest (along with Stevie me and Sterling), Downing and Cole need shooting and BR needs an attacking coach

another way of saying i don't want to take the bet because i think i'm going to lose but i don't want to say this because i would be realistic about Liverpool FC for a change. I also do not want to come to terms with Swansea FC realistically finishing above us now.
