Lucas played further forward because Henderson was suspended. When we played with a diamond or 4-3-3, the midfield 3 was always Gerrard, Henderson and either Allen or Coutinho with Lucas sitting out.

We could have gone with a 4-3-3 with Coutinho wide and Allen in midfield but I can only assume Rodgers thought that wasn't attacking enough and by playing a 4-2-3-1 it frees up Sterling and Coutinho from any defensive duties.

Coutinho will play just off Sturridge with Sterling high on the left and Henderson tucked in on the right. That's how we played vs Dortmund anyway, with Can sitting alongside Gerrard.
 
Souness talks some **** doesnt he - wtf is he on about with Sturridge?

I don't think you could put a formation on how will play, the positions the players will be in will change numerous times during the game.

Mmmm ok team crap bench. We need another CB as Yoshida and Hooiveld should be nowhere near the first team, also there's no point in signing Forster if Boruc goes as we are still stuck with Davis or Gazzaniga on the bench.

Surprised Schneiderlin is starting though.

No one forces you to watch, after ten years of stupid mistakes, don't watch. Hardly Arsenals fault they parked a bus. makes me feel only a stupid person would put themselves through that.

We would all love to watch 90 minutes of brilliant football but that's the joy of football, highs and lows. Only you seem to concentrate on the lows...even when the rest of us are enjoying the highs for what they are.

If you want to watch pretty football you should follow Barca or someone who buys all the best.

For someone who doesn't care about winning or losing you sure did moan enough about Wengers inability to win a trophy over the past eight years.
