Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 21st January 2015]

Arsenal have been pretty pap but have taken their chances and sat back. 10 men behind the ball is very hard to break down.

City have been laboured and uninspired.

Santi skips a couple tackles.. great, but their midfield over committed and he gave away a throw in when after the first tackle or the second one had he actually passed to one of the 3 or 4 open players we'd have had a huge chance to have a 4 on 2 or 3 type attack. It was poor play, our players keep trying to go further rather than pass the damn ball and you know, have the team keep it, control the game.

All game long it's one player trying to go 40 yards alone then losing it, how about go 10 yards, pass it, then go 10 yards, pass it, and keep the damn ball?

cazorla has been one of our best players last 4 or 5 games behind alexis

bet he gets motm today

How is that pap? It's intelligent.

When they bomb on they get criticised for being naive. Now that they're not they get criticised too. What should they do, do you suggest?

Throughout the rest of the game they have made poor decisions and made lots of errors going forward. They took two chances and sat back. City have been so poor they haven't been a threat.

Two teams both massively off their game.

Errors going forward? It's not been a perfect performance, but there is no such thing. Are you suggesting they should be beating City 5-0?

I'm saying that they could have kept possession much better, been more clinical in a few situations and generally been more imposing.

Giroud has made 3 or 4 touches this game that have been absolutely world class, pulled the ball down when he had absolutely no right to get it under control.

To an extent, but there's a difference between being pap and not being perfect. Teams can always do better, but to stop City playing at home and being clinical enough to score two on the counter is an excellent performance.
