If he plays well I'll happily praise him but he's going to have to play well in a hell of a lot of matches this season (as well as dye his hair and lose weightI agree pretty much with you assessment of todays game (although I thought Adam had a better game than you'll give him credit for)
Just watched both our goals again and Meireles looked ****ed off while celebrating the first goal too. Not sure what that's all about.

I can only think it might relate to him possibly leaving? Not sure i hope he doesnt but our midfield does need cutting down and unfortunately i wouldn't be surprised if he is off despite how well he has done thus far.
And after that Suarez goal, Raul Meireles celebrated by giving Lucas the finger -- a joke in reference to when Emmanuel Frimpong, who was sent off in the 70th minute, did the same thing to Lucas earlier. Albeit with a bit more anger.
Meireles giving Lucas the finger:

KD also talks about Meireles having missed lots of pre season and that we now need to get him up to speed. Sounds promising.
I heard a huge sigh of relief from Kuyt the day Adam signed
If that was the case then that would mean the finger was aimed at the bench. Would he be that stupid? I doubt it.
And who knows whether there is or was any truth in the rumours he might be sold. I could understand the reasons that were being reported (bit part player, at an age where it would be the last time to get a decent fee for him) but those rumours have died down and imo, with us only signing the 1 wide player rather than the 2 we hoped/expected, his ability to play on the right could be useful.
Everyone needs to watch Everton - QPR, and watch Ross Barkley rape QPR.COYB!!!!

In my opinion we need another centre back, a left back, a proper defensive midfielder, a creative central midfielder and a forward. There's no point in me talking about it at length though because I don't really believe Wenger will spend the money. Instead of him seeing Fabregas and potentially Nasri missing from the squad he just looks at Ramsey and Wilshere and assumes everything will be fine. You can't lose players of Fabregas' quality and expect a teenager to step into his boots, I can totally understand that he wants to give his younger players a chance but there are times when you simply have to pull your cheque book out and find a suitable replacement.
Fabregas was a key man, he's gone and I think when Ramsey matures he will become a good central midfielder but he's not a Cesc or a Mata or a Modric or anyone anywhere near that level, he's still a kid learning the game, there's no way he should be starting every match for us, especially when they are important ones like today. He needs someone to learn off, who is he learning off right now for example? Nasri is halfway out the door, Fabregas has gone and pretty much everyone else is around the same age group as him.
Same with left back, he won't buy because he wants to give Gibbs a chance, I totally understand this but the way to do it is to give him half hour of the second half, then maybe give him the odd start and slowly introduce him to the first team while already having an established and experienced left back. Instead we just chuck him straight in knowing full well he's made of glass and then he gets injured within the first two games...
Remind me what the Liverpool fans did when Hodgson tried to get the club relegated?![]()
That didn't quite go to plan lol

To be fair I've always praised Kuyt for his work rate and effort, he's a fantastic athlete, but his limitations as a footballer have always been the problem. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet against the very best teams, because he'll always pressure defenders in to making mistakes, but an unused sub against the rest.I heard a huge sigh of relief from Kuyt the day Adam signed![]()
