Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17 - 19th November 2012]

I support Arsenal and it cost me £80 each for tickets for the Arsenal vs chelsea game a few months ago. thats a Cat A game as well and arsenal have the most expensive tickets in the PL.

i understand what you are saying mate but like i said, if you really wanted to see your team play, you would make sacrifices.

Each to their own but no on here can go off and question me as a supporter when i cough up £200+ on tickets each month.

im going again this wednesday my first CL game :)

WTF:confused: You mean you ain't a season ticket holder & just buy individual tickets? You ain't a real supporter then :mad: etc, etc...

Season ticket holder? When I were a lad to get to t'game, we 'ad to walk 30 miles to t'stadium. When we got there, we had to give a limb to get in and you'd be lucky to get a cold cup of tea and a shot on target in t'whole game.

at least i can afford to buy tickets. what about u? lol. :)

End of the day, if u can afford all these fancy gadgets and getting drunk every friday night, u can easily afford to see your team play.

Up to u lads. do whatever u wish with your money but dont go preaching crap saying its too expensive when u spend 2x more on iphones etc lol

I can afford to go, but I work shifts, which means I work 5/7 weekends. Does this mean I am not a true supporter also?

Your team doesnt play during the week?

My wife works shifts too and she has seen a few games with me already.

Of course if u work abroad far away from your team its understandable but when you are able to see your team play both financially and time wise and distance wise. what other excuses can u make?

If I'm not mistaken, the other week Mr Mendoza said he'd been to the Emirates for just the second time this season. Why did you miss all the other games Jonney?

I've been to a game at least once per month. season started late august, i seen a game in sept, october and now this month. O and i already booked for a game next month december.

O and i buy 2x tickets not one.

How many games have u been to so far this season?

You didn't answer the question. Why did you miss all the other games? A loyal supporter like you, with all the sacrifices you make shouldn't miss a game.

I've been to every home game (bar Wolves in the CC) for ages, I have to buy individual tickets as ST are gold dust ;)
My (sarcastic) point is that just because someone either chooses not to go or can't afford to go doesn't mean that they're any less of a supporter than you are, some are probably even more passionate about their team than you are, deal with it.
When are you getting your season ticket?

I've been to one match so far this season. That was the only match that we were playing, and I was off work. Last season though I managed 14. Before I started working for the NHS, I had been to every single game (home and away) for 7 seasons.

I usually ignore your posts as the levels of stupid in them never fail to astound me.

However, this is something in football that really winds me up.

You are not 'more' of a fan then someone else who hasn't attended as many matches as you. That idea is almost as ridiculous as your posting history. Almost.

People have life commitments and money commitments which means they can not hold a season ticket (a lot of 'top' football clubs have waiting lists anyway) and may not be able to attend every single football match throughout a season.

I hold a season ticket (and have done for many years) at my beloved Sheffield Wednesday, does this make me more of a fan then you? You don't own a season ticket?

Utter ****.

I usually ignore you, because you seem incapable of posting anything but utter rubbish. Honestly, does your arse get jealous at the **** that spews from your mouth?

You're all that is wrong with a football fan in a nut shell.

Log out, don't post in here again, you're not welcome.

I must admit I rarely visit Elland Road nowadays, not because of the clubs current (mis)fortunes but my circumstances have changed, disposable income drastically changes once you own a house, have a kid etc and there is better things to spend my money on than feeding the cash cow that is Ken Bates. Plus it takes up my whole Saturday travelling and to be honest there's nothing much better than watching it at home with a beer, warm room and a 55" TV :D

Over and out.
