Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 19th September 2011]

would you say Keane was worse than Cole? As in a thuggery nature.

Probably, I'm not accusing Cole of intentionally deciding to go out and hurt someone more that a number of his tackles are extremely reckless and could have caused severe injury.

On Keane though there's only really one example albeit in terms of admitting to going out to hurt someone it's one more than Cole. Keane was never shy about mincing his words though

Both Inter and AC Milan have failed to win both of their two opening games.

Inter 11th
AC 17th

What happened to Atalanta ? They have -2 points even with a win?

 I'm pretty sure you wouldn't of said this prior to the game today. I'm sure people make stuff up the minute a player makes a mistake.

I havent liked him for years (and have said so here on a few occasions) so I would have undoubtedly

There is also a HUGE skill and experience difference between Cole and Evans - of course the tackle last season was awful, but as far as I know thats the only one thats even close to that, rather than a Highly skilled player who does that kind of thing quite regularly

Just reading BBC and find this quite annoying...

"Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas defended Cole and said the full-back might not have made the challenge on Hernandez if the officials had got earlier decisions correct."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14966292.stm

Basically the Chelsea manager suggests that if earlier decisions had gone their way then Cole would not have chopped down Hernandez!? What the hell!

With that logic when any decision goes against you, you now have license to injure other players...

Grrr!

What do you expect, he spent how many years working with Maureen?

Manchini said they need more centre mids. Hahahaha :D
Where have we heard that before....:)

He isn't wrong though tbh, NDJ/Milner/Hargreaves not fit to play. We really should still have beaten Fulham. He should have played Razak if he was that worried really.

Team for Birmingham should be our 2nd team eg Tevez, Balotelli, Johnson (needs a good performance or hes gone in Jan i think) etc
We need our strongest team possible to come close to beating Everton :(

I think Chelsea will score. The luck has been all one way first half.

Seems tackling Rooney is worth a booking these days. Played officials. They've had a shocker so far.

How is that a penalty??

Bosingwa took the ball and Nani kicked him. Phil dowd the manyoo fan.

Hahaha Rooney :D

Anderson off. Manyoo stronger now.

How wasn't that a foul on ivanovic by Rooney?

Unlucky Chelsea. Think a draw would have been fairer there.

Giggs has had a worse miss than that.

No butthurt there whatsoever is there :o

Is any of it inaccurate?

Chelsea scored, and should have scored more. The tackle on Rooney was a great challenge, it was given because Rooney fell over. I laughed at Rooney for missing a penalty (as many will have done). Anderson is pap (did you see his 'outside of the boot swept pass out to the right wing' just before he went off? No-one within 50 yards of the pass) and I was saying manyoo were then stronger. Rooney fouled Ivanovic in the run-up to the attempt on goal that saw Hernandez get injured (would never have happened if Dowd hadn't had his red specs on). The draw would have been fair, and Giggs had a miss that was listed as the worst ever.

Butthurt?

We scored and could have scored more, did you not laugh at Torres missing an open goal? I thought a play on names such as a United fan coming on posting Liver***** or Loserpool was tantamount to trolling? Guess it's okay though to post manyoo time and time again though. A miss from outside of the area on a players wrong foot is worse than a miss 3 feet out from a player on his wrong foot?

Maybe nothing you said was inaccurate (apart from the Giggs miss being worst than Torres' and of course your general opinion on Anderson) but you're certainly very selective in what you post as the multiple quotes prove i.e. any attempt to bash United you gladly take

What's wrong with calling them manyoo? It's not like saying Liverpoo is it?

You should notice when you read the letters that make up manyoo that there's no mention of effluent or loser in there.

When I posted about Giggs I was putting some perspective on manyoo fans saying how bad Torres' miss was. Yes, it was bad, but he's hardly the only one.
