Arsenal/Giroud have had their appeal to overturn his red card from the weekend turned down.... Damn was hoping he'd play against us at the weekend ;)
 
I have to say I thought Giroud's was harsh.

Has Gimp gone now? Have people removed their noses from his rectum yet? The threads are painful to read when he's about.

One's opponent's failures don't necessarily make you 'very lucky'. There are two (or more) sides to every battle; if you are average, and your opponent is mediocre, then you deserve to win, same as if you are amazing and they are very good. It never ceases to amaze me how football fans roll out these sort of phrases, it happens after matches too "you suck and only beat us because we played so bad, hahjahahahasdahjhahaha" as though that somehow gives them some sort of moral victory or negates the result.

In my book, winning the league is about a level of consistency over 38 games and if opponents can't manage that, getting creamed 6-1 at home by one's good selves in the process, then you deserve to come out on top.

I totally agree. It annoys me when people say things like "we let them score"...like all other teams just turn up to get beaten, and were not trying. Happens a lot with supporters of bigger clubs, like they have the right to win games, and if the other team gets anything, then they 'let them'.
 
The best side always wins the league and if Aguero hadn't of scored that goal last season then we'd of deserved it then as well

Definitely!

Barring bad refereeing decisions, everyone gets what they deserve.

The one that annoys me is Chelsea vs Barcelona Champions League Final. Apparently Chelsea didn't deserve to win it because Barcelona passed it about a bit and had more shots...goals don't matter anymore!
 
Wrexham 2 -1 Kidderminster, in the 1st leg of the play-off semi final. The only real football on TV tonight. Non of this Robben and Ribery fairy nonsense.
