Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 24th April 2019]

I reckon that will be the end of Brighton, they aren't getting any more points and Cardiff will get points off Fulham and Utd.

I don't blame Brighton for setting up like that but it is horrific to watch and we really really struggled to come up with ideas .

I'm hoping they'll be a bit more adventurous against Newcastle at home, I don't mind either way, it's cheaper when they're in the Championship and often more entertaining :D

We needed to come up with a much better approach to breaking down Brighton. You can't blame Brighton for sitting there while spurs passed the ball in a semi circle around the box- the irritating part was that when Spurs played one touch football it started opening up

Utd are going to get a tonking tonight.

Hope I'm wrong but hard to see any other result after seeing how they performed against Everton.

Here's to Lukaku managing to keep his slender, ballerina type frame upright long enough to grab a dodgy ninety seventh minute goal for a draw.

That is honestly more painful than City beating us 8-0. To go down in history as the club to hand Liverpool its first title in thirty years.

Yeh, that's how the Premier League works, nothing at all to do with the thirty eight games that Liverpool play, it's all down to you beating City that hands them the title! :P

A draw for United tonight would be a great result but I think United fans need to be supporting Wolves tonight more than anything, if Arsenal go 5 points clear of United in fourth it's hard to see that being clawed back.

U N I T E D, UNITED IS THE TEAM FOR ME

It is weird how people can only focus on the last few games

I've put a bet on Utd to win and I will be cheering Utd on for the first time in league history ( I do cheer them on in Europe as I always want to see English teams do well in Europe, regardless of the design of their shirt) , but to be quite honest I don't think for a moment that Utd will even try in the match. Perhaps it would be inevitable for City to win even if Utd did try but despite that, I don't think they will try anyway. City is the lesser of two evils for most Utd fans I suspect.

City beat Liverpool when they met so in my opinion they deserve it more anyway.

Its been an incredible season when you look at the stats, to think that a team could get 97 points and lose only 1 match all season, possibly have the golden boot winner, the golden glove winner, concede the fewest goals in the league and still not win the title. That's surely got to be a first in the history of the league.
