Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [20th - 24th October 2017]

lol, Arsenal, wtf. No idea how Lazza misses his chance nice turn but while a good save, if he puts that to either corner it's a goal. Rooney, meh, felt like he'd score today while Everton would be dire and Rooney probably crap besides scoring.

Xhaka, weak and pitiful. Wouldn't have made much difference but he stays on the ground asking for a freekick when he was fairly tackled rather than getting up and trying to help.

Xhaka yet again!!

Too many mistakes time and time again what hell is he doing keeping wilshere out

Meh, of all the things I can't stand about Wenger, Wilshere has barely played and played the full 90 midweek, I wouldn't have started him in this game either. I'd be looking to play him against Norwich in the cup and take him off early if we're comfortable(which we should be but with this team.. who the hell knows). If he comes off early maybe give him 30 mins at the weekend or just save him again and start him against Red Star in the next game.

I'd feel more comfortable about playing Wilshere more if we fired the entire medical staff, had him see specialists while under different care and with a different manager who manages his health better. Wilshere is actually a brilliant player and it's not this absence makes the heart grow fonder crap, he's actually brilliant for Arsenal, but I don't know if his body just can't hack it as an athlete or if Arsenal's horrendous medical management of so many players over the years is responsible for his problems.

Lol Arsenal letting Rooney score against us.

Koeman gonna save his job but Wenger?? **** me should be sacked really.

What a joke Arsenal are and have become under Wenger.

The match has been pretty much been the Pickford show so far, it's only a matter of time before Arsenal score they could have had 5 goals already.

Tbf, that was a foul on Xhaka.

it really wasn't. HIs first touch is terrible, gets away from him and then he doesn't actually sprint to the ball, he jogs towards it as if no one else could beat him to it. The other guy just gets there first, sure he slides in but he gets the ball, neither leg goes through Xhaka, no where near a foul.

In fact if you set it slow and make it fullscreen, the only reason Xhaka goes down is as he sees the player coming in he lunges himself, puts himself off balance and also pushes the Everton player with his arm. If he'd not done that he wouldn't have gone down at all and could have gone straight after the ball.

Definitely not a foul.

Yes it was. Did you watch the replay? The Everton player takes Xhaka's leg before getting anywhere near the ball.

Seriously watch the linked gif and set it to 0.5x, or pause it and click through, he absolutely didn't. The only slight contact that happens is because Xhaka at the last second lunges forward with his left leg and in doing so puts himself off balance, that is the only reason he went down. Even then if you pause and click through the frames you see him get the ball before brushing that leg and even then in no way did he go through Xhaka's leg or cause his foot to even slip out.

Have my eyes deceived me?? Ozil scoring off a header?? What next pigs will fly??

Lol:p, nice goal though

Can't say it's not been coming, its only a combination of bad finishing and good goalkeeping from Pickford that has kept Everton in it.
