It's not of course but let's look at it this way - Sky conveniently leave the cameras rolling for ages after the game, all the stands bar the away enclosure are empty and something or someone causes the United fans to sing the offensive song after hours of good behaviour. Is it really beyond the realms of possibility that Sky ask someone to wander over in front of the away fans and get them going?

Surely if the last couple of weeks have taught us anything it's that the media are ruthless ****s who will do anything to get a story.

Again, this does not excuse the fans but something seems odd about it to me.

Orrrrrr, they thought cameras were off and decided to do it, or if the one reported fan provoked them thousands of them singing about it? You shouldn't respond and sing it ever so it doesn't really matter at all does it. Bunch of scum

That Carra tackle wasn't last year, and Rafael got away with a shocker just after too and on Kenny's first game back and Berbatovs epic dive.

Are we allowed to insult people while referencing their colour, nationality, religion etc? The FA would ban you for that Loki :p

Don't understand

He's carrying a bit of timber and he's Spanish

Ahh it's all about the context ;)

Let's not open that can of worms again :)

On a serious note and no Sarcasm, LFC should keep the faith with Rodgers. Despite all the pre match tension I think you can see a pattern emerging with Suarez. Build up play is pretty decent but as the game wears on he get's more frustrated and sails a little close to the wind. Rather than looking for a decision, get your head down and play the bloody game. I think Rodgers will do well for you but top 4 seems a mountain to climb with your lack of quality across the front line at the moment.

2011 was last year the last time I checked?

As for your argument:

The occasion was marred slightly after the final whistle when a couple of home supporters ran across from the main stand to the visiting contingent - held behind on police orders - and started making aeroplane signals in a clear reference to the Munich air disaster in 1958 when eight United players were among 21 people who lost their lives.

The provocation was met with chants of "Always the victims" and "Murderers" from the travelling fans in relation to the Hillsborough and Heysel stadium disasters that Liverpool were involved with in the 1980s.

So I think it's fair to say that the Liverpool fans have to take their share of responsibility for this - they crossed the line first, though the lot of them are idiots for doing it.

Doesn't matter who did it first, you are just as equal scum if you responded. And I've said anyway I'd love them all to be rounded up and disposed off. It isn't an argument really just another thought, either way doesn't make them any better or worse.

Also thought you meant last season, my bad?

That's disgraceful if it's true re; Liverpool fans. Doesn't excuse the Manchester United fans, still disgraceful behaviour.

I was joking :p

You touched on it in your first post, it's the constant changes and lack of continuity that's been our biggest problem.

Since Benitez left, every following manager has had a very different philosophy to the one before him and has had to/been allowed to rip up the work done before him and make his own mark. I hope and fully expect that Rodgers is given time but the biggest hope is that the club as a whole has now settled on one overall philosophy from top to bottom and if and when Rodgers does leave (whenever that might be), the next man comes in and carries on/improves on what he started.

I'd have said last season if I meant last season. :p

I appreciate it doesn't make it any better (or worse) but to call one half scum while ignoring the equally bad other half is highly misleading.

I think we can just agree they are all idiots and should get life bans - we don't need these backwards people at our football grounds.

If you read my post which started the discussion I quite clearly label them both and have done pretty much every time I've discussed this.

http://a.yfrog.com/img6/6040/u5tokbgkvoblxqnlkupfhj.mp4 Wow. Thought the cameras might be off by then

Christ just seen Collymore's twitter, can't link it but really why can we not round up both our scum and just shoot them.

Also still waiting on Bucket/Robbo to reply on earlier that they think some posters would sing these chants based on their forum posts during the game, really interested in them naming. (As I'm sure I'm one due to getting heated.)

Absolutely disgraceful.

If a small minority of Liverpool fans goaded United fans in to a reaction, utterly pathetic considering how well the game went.

bottom line is, liverpool fans really are coming across as they're the victims of everything. when the truth is, they are actually worse in a lot of aspects.

Yes a few fans make us ALL worse in a lot of aspects, or both have an a fair number of scum fans who don't represent us. How are we/am I coming across as the victim calling both scum?

I now know what G|mp meant.

it wasn't just the whole hilsborough thing. in todays game, your fans all turned into a bunch of whinging little kids whenever you didn't get your own way on decisions that were blatently obvious. the foul on welbeck in ET springs to mind.

So... in doing this Liverpool fans are doing what a lot of home fans do?

'Home advantage'
