What is it with you and reporting things that aren't fact as fact?

strictly speaking he is right (it is fact ever since it was in the past / decision was made in each incident).

I can understand the debate on both issues - but I can also see the reasonign given on MOTD as being fair and correct (especially about Shelvey / Evans)

I was actually trying to recall the last time two opposing players were both given a red card for exactly the same incident (not including "afters" /any melee after the initial card incident). I cant see how this could ever happen

Is a studs up challange dangerous / reckless if you only connect with the ball?
Losing control by flying through the air two footed is one thing, a one footed (studs up) challange with players heel /back of the ankle on the floor connecting only with the ball potentially card worthy but it is not a red

(and believe it or not this would be my view if it had been WBA vs Reading or some other match)

I'm just wondering anyone who has witnessed these chants have you ever seen someone say over the age of 40 doing it? I'm pretty sure I haven't and it is pretty much all just chavs or inbred country people I've seen from Ireland doing it.

From my experience its been over 40's as well - but thankfully it is a tiny minority (should still be banned from every football ground in the country if/as they persist, but its heartening to know it IS a minority)

Gah I turned it off. What did he say?

Going on about having a tank of a defensive midfield for you to go and beat the **** out of players who went in hard on him :D

Thought it was very funny as the MOTD days just teased him for swearing instead of the usual look at the floor and never mention it response.

it's liverpool fans and their facts where things crumble.

liverpool were the better team over the duration, even with 10 men and deserved something but they didn't get it. another fact.

The Liverpool Vs United match looked like two tired old fighters whos legs have gone coming back for one last fight.

United had exactly 3 minutes and 55 seconds of good one touch attacking football from the first whistle, then as soon as the liverpool crowd got up and started whistling and booing and getting their players fired up everyones legs turned to jelly and it was a car crash from there on in.

Only Liverpools insistence on playing no decent attacking players at all saw us walk away without being given a hiding by the worst liverpool side since records began.

You simply cannot have a midfield where both the central players dont move at all for large periods of the game, and who dont help either attack OR defend.

any other spurs fans think dembele and vert have been our best signings since berba and modric?

both these players got us 3 points yesterday. vert with his tackle on cisse when he really should've scored but dallyed around and dembele for winning the ball which led to our 2nd, created by vert.

we are missing creativity but we're very physical in the centre in sandro and dembele now. be interesting to see how we do against united with these two. i hope we go with the 4-4-2 we played in the 2nd half against qpr when we play united as defoe wont cut it on his own against them.

Vert has a touch of "king" about him, reads the game very well, as that tackle showed! Dembele is a slightly trickier Toure, I hope he keeps developing as he could be one hell of a player.

Im worried about Bale, its all gone to his head! Stay on the left and cross, its what you are good at!

Apparently we are following suit with Reading and dropping our no.1 Kelvin Davis for our back up Paulo Gazzaniga (aka Gazza!) :D Plus Gaston Ramirez should start (best player at the club)

Honestly if we start Gazza we could get past the age old problem of what to do about the 2nd choice keeper and get away from the unbelievable failings of Kelvin...

What a result and Ramirez looks to be absolutely brilliant, fingers crossed for more of the same! Fantastic to see Rickie Lambert getting some praise on MOTD as well allthough I thought the comparison to the donkey Holt down at Norwich was a bit harsh!

Feel a bit sorry for Kelvin, he's gone from first choice to third in a weekend now we've added Boruc to the squad. Total respect to him for sticking with us when we sunk to the depths and I will always be greatful for his conrtibution to our return to the top table. Sadly it appears this is as far has his talen can take him, he's looked like a rabit in the headlights at times this year so has had to go, good luck to him with what ever he goes on to do.

the fact suarez' wasn't a penalty?
.

Bit of a chip on your shoulders havent you. How come Sky's coverage said it was a pen though. So which is 'fact' ,the one you choose to belive?

Regardless it was nailed on that Man U would end up with a penalty after Fergies "1 penalty in 25 years at Anfield" mini rant in the Saturday papers

I thought Fergie was asked about the subject of penalties because Man U have missed their last 2 or 3, rather than him ranting about it to influence anything?

I notice nobody is talking about that Luiz tackle anymore, I assume it's just because it happened to a Stoke player that nobody cares about that? It was a much worse tackle than Shelvey's and it looks like he's just going to get away with a yellow for that which is disgusting IMO. I have no idea why they can't re-assess decisions like that and have the player banned. I know it doesn't help Stoke on the day, but more should be done to discourage that sort of behaviour.

2 page spread in the Mirror where he was banging on about it.

Luis' was a horrific challenge, and not the 1st time he has gone in late and studs up. RE Shelvey's challenge, it wasn't even the worst one in the game.

Tbh it sums the FA up, if they wanted to they could change the ruling where if the ref has seen it its dealt with. Mind you it could potentially open a can of worms about where you draw the line, but tackles and off the ball incidents could and should be able to be dealt with post game.

i haven't got a chip on my shoulder, i'm simply pointing things out. show me a replay or gif which shows suarez' should've been a penalty? if suarez didn't go down at every given opportunity, maybe we'd be discussing a draw?

the penalty on valencia was soft but, never the less, it was a penalty. there is a clear push on his lower back by johnson and that's all it will take these days. johnson knew this due to his laying on the floor thinking 'what have i done'? reaction.

i'm a spurs fan. if we have a similar decision go against us at OT, i will be as equally aggrieved, especially as you were the better team and certainly deserved a draw.

Its really ridiculous, we do zonal marking..... at which point EVERY corner against us goes to the area mertesacker isn't in. It's somewhere between hilarious and shameful, we bought a 8mil player on 80k a week to improve us at set pieces, then we went zonal so the opposition can choose not to face Mertesacker......

On the zonal marking debate, the issue for me with it is primarily that you end up with a very dynamic attack and very static defence. If the ball comes into a defender's zone they end up taking a standing leap versus someone taking a running one; there's only one winner in that situation. At least in a man marking system the defenders are constantly moving too.

Its rather odd that with almost no one except for Jenks having a solid game... that we so so easily dominated so so much of that game. With so few players being great for us it really does point to City being pretty woeful all around....

Considering for our defence we had Mert who did, nothing all game, Gibbs, crap offensively nothing defensively, Jenks, awesome at both and Kos, scored a goal, was no where for there goal and passed the ball to Aguero who should have won the game for them, I really can't see where our defence had a great game.

What the...

Mertesacker was MOTM on Sky for a reason. Seven interceptions is a ridiculous number. His reading of the game really is exceptional and for me he's the in-form centre back this season, while last season it was unquestionably Koscielny.

Also that is the first goal Arsenal have conceded from a corner this season, against 28 faced. That's not bad going and it was a silly mistake to make, easily rectifiable. It's not right to suggest it's some sort of weakness.

By your reckoning, using MTM marking, Mertesacker would have been marking Yaya anyway, so it would have made no difference to Lescott's goal.

edit: also baffled at how you think no one had a good game for us? Cazorla was good, albeit not as outstanding as other games recently. And Ramsey had his best game since his return from injury for me
