Merry Christmas :D

Mixed performance today. Going forward we always looked like we could score but we were far too open in midfield today and had Newcastle been a bit more clinical they could have nicked a goal or two for themselves. Cracking finish from Lovren for the first goal from the sort of chance he usually sticks in row Z. No doubt we'll have people complaining about the penalty but it's clearly a foul - yes Salah could have stayed on his feet but why should he? If he stays up, he's not getting the foul. Our first penalty in the League at Anfield in 14 months too!

Huge game on Saturday now.

They definitely do need back-up for Fernandinho tbf. I commented in the summer that both in January with Fred and this summer with Jorginho, City weren't willing to pay the asking price but then went and blew £60m on Mahrez. Bonkers decision making.
 
Christmas present for Brighton from Lichtsteiner means normal service is resumed and Arsenal go in at half time without a lead.

Are we trying for some sort of record for 2nd half points?
 
Here's everyone thinking it was the second of Ozil Christ at Christmas because he managed to ding a decent through ball against Burnley, turns out he's still poop. The man has just given up.

Nope. Only Kolasinac was booked for Arsenal.

Auba’s Got 13 goals in this average arsenal side. Can you imagine what he would do in Liverpool’s team? It would be carnage.
