He was far from his main man - they were together for 2 seasons at Dortmund, Auba's 2 quietest seasons. And there's no chance we'd play that way - the only way Auba would play in this Liverpool team was when Salah was unavailable or rested. Whether we play 4-3-3 or the 4-2-3-1/4-2-2-2 we're playing more often now, we only ever play with 1 player playing on the shoulder and that's Salah.

Mixed performance today. Going forward we always looked like we could score but we were far too open in midfield today and had Newcastle been a bit more clinical they could have nicked a goal or two for themselves. Cracking finish from Lovren for the first goal from the sort of chance he usually sticks in row Z. No doubt we'll have people complaining about the penalty but it's clearly a foul - yes Salah could have stayed on his feet but why should he? If he stays up, he's not getting the foul. Our first penalty in the League at Anfield in 14 months too!

Because it's supposed to be a man's game? Nowadays footballers are just pansies who fall over at the slightest touch (or non-touch). It's pathetic.

It's also supposed to be a game where you can't just obstruct and foul your opponent and think if he doesn't fall over you're ok. The refereeing is ridiculous. If somebody is fouled, blow up, don't wait for them to fall over. That would stop all but the most blatant diving, as players would no longer feel forced to go down
