Really dont understand why it takes so long. Sky showed the replay immediately and within seconds you could clearly see that it was a shoulder not an arm. Yet VAR takes minutes to come to the same conclusion and all the while everyone in the stadium is sitting there unknowing as to what the hell is going on. Needs way more transparency and communication to the crowd.
 
As above but I would imagine they were looking at any other issues with the goal. For me that’s exactly why VAR was brought in to eliminate they howler.
 
Problem would be if the ref blew for the foul and then the ball went over the goal line - if that was the case they couldn't allow the goal to stand even if they decided no foul had been committed.
