Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th April - 1st May 2017]

think there were a lot of dubious free kicks for Swansea in the 2nd half and lots ignored at the other end but hey ho, not the best performance to say the least but injuries are really showing right now, going to be lucky to get anything from this season

No proper -fit - centre half, down to bare bones in full backs and central midfield and centre forwards are out injured also

Absolute rubbish from United.

Without wanting to sound like a smart arse, this is exactly what I was talking about when I said Mourinho is a negative manager. No, you didn't park the bus but at 1-0 Mourinho sides are often happy to sit off and he's confident in seeing out the win. There was no urgency from Utd to kick on in the 2nd half, looking to kill off the game and it's come back to bite you on the arse.

The cheek of you to even comment on ref decisions after that :D

I don't think we really sat off. We were pretty consistently ineffective before and after our goal.

You struggled and Swansea done ok first half but second half Utd were in complete control until Swansea scored. The point I was making was that you were happy to just control and contain the game rather than look to push on a bit and kill the game off with a 2nd goal. It's a trademark of Mourinho teams - how many times did his old Chelsea side go 1-0 and you knew it was game over? The problem he has is that this Utd team isn't capable of consistently closing games out.

Hoping Chelsea win this so Spurs don't get an extra boost this afternoon. Still struggling to see us getting much out of White Hart Lane.

Mourinho's trademark is even worse than what LVG tried to implement.

If we're going to counter attack then at least do it properly with the passing and finishing.

We are a team that are meant to be on the front foot in any situation, which is why Mourinho is bad news.

I can understand in a way the change of tactics as even when dominating games we haven't finished, so park the bus and counter attack should in theory be more effective with the players we have.

He is right about some players though that haven't stepped up to the mark.

We have the Europa league left which is a must win now but can they do it? I want the players to prove me wrong.

Why do people think Mourinho's teams don't score goals, i don't understand. I haven't looked recently but i'm pretty sure he's had the best goal difference when he's won titles with his teams..

That was just because we were poor, nothing to do with being content to sit back. We didn't look like scoring before the goal and we didn't look like scoring after. Fact is without Pogba we look crap.
