annoys me when people use the "early in the game" line, it should be a red card whether in the 1st minute or the 90th.
 
Pardew is clearly out to sabotage our season, he moves Ba on (fair enough) has a chance to now move things on and try and get Cisse back in form.... but starts Cisse on the right again :confused::(:confused:

I love Shola, and hope he does well, but a ******* baffling decision :(

Oh its no excuse at all. By that logic you should be less likely to get one at the end. I do think that it does make a big difference though. Referees don't want to set the tone for a game with an early red unless they have to.

Yup totally agree that ref's always seem reluctant to give a red early on etc.

I do think ref's bring on the abuse themselves though, their just not consistent enough
