Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 5th March 2012]

Oh and those subs from Dalglish, lol. Atleast we knew under Rafa we had the 66 minute sub always coming.

And that defending for rvps first goal was absolutely hilarious, ****ing just step infront of him instead of holding him the ball was ****ing chest height.

...what else do you want him to do.....the team that scores the most goals wins:p

Dont get me wrong he's without doubt the outstanding player in the league this season because in a rather meh side he's scored over 30 goals and in games like today he pretty much touched the ball twice and scored twice. Like I said he's a machine.

And another thing, we now need championship winning points/game to match Rafa's worst season.
Woo

Aye **** manager/waiter and all that.

Where is that lovely graph of where we realise we won't achieve anything and now the pressure is off we will start winning and get the 'gunna win the league' bandwagon going again.

In terms of hard games,

Chelsea has (Stoke), Citeh, Tottenham, (Villa), Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool.

Arsenal has Newcastle, Everton, (Villa), Citeh, Chelsea, (Stoke).

Brackets for matches that are possibly hard, depending on your opinion of the teams.

I'd favour Arsenal's remaining games, for sure.

Arsenal struggled at Carrow Road, and they(along with Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle) will be in for a tough match when they next face us(Okay exclude Man City from the tough games as they will walk all over us).

Only 4 points behind Liverpool, 7th could be a real possibility for Norwich. However the chances of us getting into Europe next season are very slim, a shame really. Would have loved to go see Norwich play in some unknown country in Eastern Europe :p :D

lol, LIverpool dominated but couldn't score to save their lives, we play utterly awful football(only marginally less rubbish than Pool though) get two real chances and score both.

Liverpool's team for 100mil invested is laughable and I've been saying about Suarez for months, his finishing is cack, ultimately as almost a lone striker most of the time he isn't good enough. Dutch league scoring record being shown as almost entirely worthless again,do they use extra big goals in the dutch league or something?.

Aside from the chip over the top Song sucked, Rosicky was crap, Rosicky 2 was crap, seemed to take the commentators about 40 minutes to stop referring to both number 7 AND number 30 as Rosicky :p

Sagna doesn't know where right back is, Gibbs actually seemed to get better defensively throughout the game and was much more often in line with the two CB's.

Diaby, lol, though to be fair Wenger did what he did to Eboue, back from months out injured and bought on WAY to early. Never in a million years should Wenger have bought him on at that stage of the game, asking for trouble.

League still a joke, Arsenal and Liverpool in another battle for who can be worse, first half being hilarious, Arsenal do nothing, create nothing and defend awfully, give Liverpool chance after chance and they waste them, both sides passing straight to the other team all half long, then an own goal, then Arsenal score with their first chance.

SEriously, I'd kill for a game between 2 top 8 teams where BOTH teams actually turn up and play good football.

not sure what you have been watching

Well he scored against us when we beat Arsenal 1-2, other than the goal he didn't do much else. He got a hat trick away to Chelsea and for the most part he didn't have his best game.

I'm not sure what the problem is with what I said? Are we not allowed to pick faults with his game because of the amount of goals he's scored?

His best all round game for me in recent weeks/months was last week against Spurs. Very odd the reaction around he when I dare to criticise him even in the slightest though

How does one put into words how good Robin van Persie is at football, I've tried but I can't

Sublime, perfect, amazing etc??

Possibly the best player by far in the EPL...not far behind Ronaldo and Messi either. Absolutely tearing up the EPL, i just thank god that hes playing for us rather than against us.

I really do hope he stays this summer, signs a new contract for £150k plus because clearly he deserves to be on big wages. With that i hope Wenger does buy some decent world class players to show RVP that hes serious about winning trophies.

I can only imagine that if we had Fab still with us, how much better we would be doing with RVP in attack and Fabregas supporting him with his terrific vision and passes...just a shame that Wilshere wont be playing for us this season...would have been interesting to see how RVP and him would have linked up this season.

Viva RVP!!!!:D:D

Draw against a Championship side and win a cup on penalties > lose to a Championship side and go out of the competition :p

No idea. The owners can't be happy about how we've performed or how the Suarez situation panned out. I'd like to think Dalglish would learn from his mistakes this season but he's made so many and hasn't changed a thing. If we did get a new manager I doubt many of his signings bar Suarez and Enrique would last long.

I was shocked that they've only won one premier league game in ten.
