Chelsea fans - AVB out now?

Not a Chelsea fan but surely he's got to go! Dreadful!

Strangely Paddy Power bets on next Chelsea manager are suspended.......

He just needs his own players to play the system he wants really. But football is never patient enough for that is it.

Yeah but almost all 11 and I doubt there will be money for that. I don't think he has the dressing room on side so it's near impossible to recover.

Absolutely not, and neither is Abramovich.

They need someone who can engineer a happy and decent side out of the players Chelsea have now. That surely isn't impossible, they have a strong squad.

When United beat Tottenham tomorrow the league table will be looking very good considering the season we've had.

The only person that i can see doing that is Mourinho but is he really that stupid to come back to Chelsea?? after what happened a few yrs ago with him and Roman.

I do feel for AVB...seems a likeable chap but as people have said he hasnt got the right mix of players for his system and i wouldnt be surprised if he has lost the dressing room with the recent losses they have suffered.

Yeah, Jose would be stupid to go back. Not least because this time round there can be no repeat of Ranieri and then Mourinho buying pretty a whole team over a very short period of time.

I said at the start of the season Chelsea had too many egos in the dressing room and a young manager with fresh ideas wouldn't be welcome.

They've got an aging squad with too many EOL star players who need replacing and someone like AVB, if given time, is exactly what they need long term. Sadly Chelsea are all about the short term these days so he'll get the boot. Bet he wishes he stayed at Porto and who could blame him.

I hope Chelsea sack avb as it will only set them further behind. They need to get rid of 6 or 7 players and bring the same in, the manager is not the problem.

Have you still not grasped that it's how you put a point across, not what you are saying (sometimes).

Your posts are just derp derp derp. :p

Who says AVB has fresh idea's, who says there are too many ego's and who says AVB is exactly what they need?

What has happened since he took over suggests almost the entire opposite. AVB has come in with a bigger ego than anyone, players get arbitrarily, for all intents and purposes, fired. He rounds everyone up and tells them what they do wrong, he bans a friend of everyone from the xmas party, he insists the team celebrate goals with him. He decides the old players have to go, tries to drop the guys he thinks won't help the team and looks a bit of a tart when he has to put Lampard back in and Lampard is easily their best player .

Everything from the outside suggests, AVB isn't fresh, he took over a system at Porto and can't adapt at all, he played a defensive system that simply did not work with the players he had and took ages to give up on it. It's AVB's ego that has caused all the dressing room problems, no one elses and what on earth proves AVB can be a winning manager in a top league, winning a league with Porto?

Maybe AVB hasn't got that big of an ego but is just misguided and thinks he has to act like a bigger man than everyone else with his odd power trips and attempts to show how he can end anyones career at his whim, in which case, he misjudged that and its clearly cost him most of the players respect.

It's his utter inability to adapt a system for the team he has that is ultimately costing him, people seem to forget that Ancelloti actually played a heck of a lot of 4-4-2 in his first year when they were pretty damn good. 4-5-1 simply doesn't suit the team. Malouda is just complete epic fail, Torres can't lead the line on his own anymore, Drogba can but he's better as part of a front 2. Yeah he can bully players but what made him stand out a couple seasons ago was his assists, his interplay with Lampard and Anelka was superb. I'd probably say 4-4-2 with Sturridge and Drogba upfront is what would suit the team best, could consider playing Merieles out wide, Ramires is gash, all running zero quality, dropping Lampard is retarded, not buying some real wingers was stupid.
