Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th Dec 2011 - 4th Jan 2012]

Don't do it for the material reward, do it to clear his name and show the world how deeply flawed the original decision was. A ban reduction is a bonus.

Again, they can't appeal the guilty verdict Dan (unless there were procedural errors). They could only appeal the length of the ban. They can't clear his name with an FA appeal. They can and still might take legal action against those that have called him a racist though.

Just to make a point if any one 100% thinks they have done NOTHING wrong do they apologise? No (Or atleast not right after an incident or a big issue like this one) so what makes every one think he has too?

Suarez might apologise to Evra doesnt have to be made public if he does though

Even if you dont believe you've done wrong you apologise for any offence caused surely?

...

He has said he called him a negro. Regardless of him thinking that's OK he still needs to accept being culturaly (hope thats a word) naive

If you didn't believe you had done something wrong and you believed that the accuser had lied/exaggerated his story, would you apologise for any offense caused to him? I wouldn't.

He could have put out a general apology for believing it was acceptable to use the term though.

I personally do yes but maybe he doesnt or isnt going to make it public atleast, If i was him id apologise but privatly as at this point im sure he is sick and tired of the media

that's up to the mods. Lock a thread and don't give a reason and they can hardly moan that people discuss further developments where they can, particulrly when it will have an impact on tonights match. They'd complain if someone opened Suarez #2 Thread.

Christ, eight matches.

so bellamy scores twice on friday and then gets put on the bench on tuesday? he has signed for liverpool ...... hasn't he?

haven't got a clue what Kenny is thinking, if we get beat I'm sure this will be a pretty influential factor.

Just an opinion lads. While Dalglish is a great manager no doubt, does anyone other than me think that he treats people (especially reporters) with contempt?

I know reporters can be annoying, but they are only doing a job. And frankly, I think Kenny speaks to them in a condescending, arrogant manner, like he genuinely dislikes them or that they are stupid.

EDIT: Just proven my point.

it affects the match. Open the Suarez thread or tell us we're not allowed to talk about it. Giving us a reason would be nice. Or does Suarez deciding not to appeal thus missing tonights match not impact on todays game?

I didn't necessarily mean apologise to Evra for causing offence I meant apologise to the general public. I'm sure plenty of black/coloured people will of been offended by what's been said

I would have imagined at this point Suarez would want to start building bridges with the media. A public apology would have been a small start

Bellamy apparently doesnt start as often is due to his knees i can accept that but if were playing poorly early on he has to do subs earlier not leave it late like he does

Always been the case with him, was watching him on the Premier League years during his Blackburn spell and he was exactly the same back then. Maybe it's his humour I dont know, but yeah he comes across as a right prat

As if he'll ever have a good relationship with the media, if he sneezes the wrong way he'll be hung out to dry like he was with this.
