youngs stats are inflated this season due to the arsenal match. two of his assists were so minor i can't really count them in this case. nani has more play time in the epl but gas contributed in more matches - i.e a goal or assist in 4 matches, whereas young has done well in 3 and maxed it out in the arsenal game.
removing the 2 free kick assists in that game gives young 2/4 and nani 3/3 goals/assists...

Statistics by their very nature are fact rather than being subjective. You cant change them to suit an opinion.
Youngs stats are not "inflated", they are his stats.
"If he hadnt scored in those 20 games he would have been crap compared to ..........." etc.
Its meaningless.

No you arent. You are putting opinion into facts by saying that goals and assists in one game are worth more than in another.

Well that's not true at all.
For example you could say that a defender is better at passing because he has a higher number of passes and pass accuracy in a match than a striker but that might not mean they were a better passer.
Stats can be twisted to fit an opinion quite easily.
