Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9 - 12th March 2013]

All if's and but's, didn't Spurs score from a freekick that should never of been? Gerrard winning a header and getting penalised for it.

Gerrard ran in from miles away leading with his forearm straight into the base of Bale's neck which imo is a free kick whether you win the ball or not.

it was a blow to the head, thus a free kick

We didn't get a free kick for it, Liverpool kindly kicked the ball out of play for us, it just so happened that we got the ball back relatively quickly, got into Liverpool's half at which point Bale was allowed to return to the pitch, pick up the ball and deliver a perfect cross.

In retrospect a draw would have been a fair result as both teams had their moments, however to lose from the position we were in is still gutting as leading up to the equaliser 'pool offered no real threat at all.

Slight exaggeration. Gerrard jumped leading with his arm but I don't think his arm made any contact with Bale. Gerrard won the ball cleanly and headed the back of Bale's head.
to lose by a penalty is a wounder.

You were very fortunate it was only 1 penalty. Walker on Coutinho and Vert on Johnson were both stonewall pens and even the Sturridge one was a foul, regardless of his reaction.

I'm starting to love Coutinho, such a talented player. You could see today and vs Wigan that in the 2nd half his fitness was found wanting but when he gets fully fit and settled, he could be some player.

Yes, you did get a free kick despite it not being one. You offered even less threat up until that point in the first half.

Personally, can not wait to see him at 100% :).

Horrible match against Stoke, they really are a terrible team to watch. Really niggly and nasty game but can't complain at 3 more points.

Well done lads! :D

Also I'm now a member of the "hate Pulis" club, the garbage that man talks :p

The sooner Stoke crash and burn the better. Pulis is everything wrong with English football and Stoke are the embodiment of that at the minute. Can not stand him.

Baz probably has me on ignore but Pat Nevin is a tool, he's one name on a very long list of people that the BBC need to remove from their football coverage :).

you were very fortunate we gifted you 2 goals!

thanks motd2 for reminding us what a nasty little git suarez can be with his sly kicks

You were fortunate to be gifted 2 freekicks by oliver, the second being hilarious, lucas touches shoulder, bale holds face
