Media? He's obviously got an incredible weak mentality but when his own manager was dropping him every other game last season what do you expect?
so you think there was no truth in the possibility that his team mates slaughtered him in the dressing room after the spurs game?
the media have played their part but they can't be blamed for his fragile frame and non commanding presence.
In fairness why did Reina watch Wallcotts goal go in?
In fairness why did Reina watch Wallcotts goal go in?
as for his physique that's rather irrelevant in regards to tonight's game (or the 'mistake' against Spurs)
it's highly relevant. if he had a few more kg's to him, players wouldn't go into challenges with him with such encouragement.
Right and what challenges did you see him fail to deal with in tonight's game or against Spurs?
This might sound mental but which first team GKs would you NOT choose over De Gea at the moment and only for the rest of the season?
they both led to goals. that may give you a clue.
The reason why De Gea is put under so much scrutiny is because a shed load was spent on him to bring him in as first choice
No but maybe instead of jumping de gea would have stood his ground and took the challenge while blocking the ball.
Against Spurs De Gea's frame had nothing to do with the goal, he punched it exactly where he wanted to punch it and that was where the mistake was, just watch the replay's/Neville analysis of it if you disagree.
As for the goal tonight I can only assume you think if De Gea weighed a few more stone Rodriguez would have pulled out of trying to score? I disagree.
That and the fact he plays for Man Utd, if he played for Arsenal the witch hunt would be nowhere near as bad
