This child isn't doing anything unique, she is just a loudmouth from a wealthy family who gets whatever she wants. The fact of the matter is that most people (globally) can't afford to live a green lifestyle. A vast proportion of the planet's population people can't even afford to buy free range eggs. Have you or Greta Thunberg for that matter even thought about this? She is in the 1% of the 1% on the global scale of wealth, it's extremely easy for her to have these sorts of choices, most people do not. Money buys you choices in life.

Is it really an attack on her to call her out and say that her message isn't well thought out or credible, and that she herself has done nothing of merit to warrant anyone listening to her? I'd call that more of a debate than an attack. It would be an attack on her if I said she was ugly or had pointy elbows or something.

However, none of this makes what she says wrong. You resent her privilege and envy the attention that she rightly receives. You feel that you can do nothing to alter your harmful, wasteful lifestyle. Many people are too unimaginative or too fatalistic even to consider the possibility that they can live differently - so it goes.
