Growing Chillies

Btw a q question. When using a spray on the leaves etc do u just use water or tomato feed or baby bio as atm im using spray with tom feed in it. Not sure if im suppose to or not tho hence the question. Sorry don't know how to do quotes.

Baby Bio is for houseplants and not flowering/fruit/veg plants. I use a tomato feed and water the soil. I wouldn't spray it on the leaves though because I don't know if the chemicals would hurt the leaves or chillis.

I only have two flowers now, I am wondering if the plant is slowing down?

i seem to remember a GREAT drink is chilli tequila.

to do:
one bottle of tequila. then fill bottle with chillis and leave to ferment for a few months.

after one shot the next 4 pints never touched the sides and i downed them one after the other.

pub in stratford used to do it but had to stop due to health and safety i think lol.

I bought some nagas from tesco and i thought they were a bit disappointing, I was expecting to much i think after all the hype.

Hotness seems to vary quite a bit. I suspect that non-supermarket Nagas are probably hotter as Tesco want the sales but not the complaints about being too hot; so probably using the Naga reputation.

The wife wanted me to ask if anyone has some tips/methods for getting rid of spider mites. They seem to have infested a couple of chilli plants and are nearing the point of no return. Generic bug/mite spray apparently isn't doing the trick.

Are these the start of buds? pictures quite rubbish but theres about 8 of them. Little balls on the end of short shafts.
As the plants still really small about 8" and as you can see some of the lower leaves are turning yellow and some of eh higher leafs are curled. I'm assuming heat damage.

Humm using an all purpose plant (veg and fruit) feeder. Hopefully they'll uncurl themselves must have got a bit dry in between one of the waterings.

I have a few quick questions for you chillie growers. I planted a multitude of plants about 2 months ago and have no idea what plants have succeded and not just died. I think these are chillie/pepper plants but would like conformation. The small plants are some basil

And if so are these flowers coming through?

Thanks.

Ok so they look a lot smaller than pictures on here as they are only about 20cm tall.....and buds are already coming through....is this just a different verity or will they grow a lot bigger?

Also should i be using a cane or somthing to keep them straight, they seem very flimsy.

Some staking sticks i use small half a metre ones i used. About 30pck for a quid from a local place.

They should grow to about 2 to 2.5 foot. Yeah they can develop buds early but don't open till larger, at least mine didn't till it was much taller.

Thanks. Wont the stick disturb the roots and damage them when i place it in the soil?

Also I have been feeding them tomato fertiliser every few weeks and throwing a few old teabags into the watering can which seems to work well, is this the correct thing to do and is there anything else I can do?
