Any joy with Freecycle yet? may take a bit of time on there, possibly even no respons, theres some right fickle folks on there
Luckily im blessed with lots of Free compost, My uncle always piled up grass cuttings and garden waste in the same point for years, now its great stuff and mountians of it, theres loads of them dotted around the garden so got a few years worth
If you didnt stayso far id give you some lol, but in the post a pile of Compost would be dear lol
My main crop spuds are going mad and the rocket is looking good.
I've picked some bell cloches like these from a DIY shop (better price than that). Great for starting small plants off in a grow bag and keeping them protected from the wind. Will get more for next year as a couple of my courgettes have bit the bullet recently.
Mixed up my tomatoe plants, so I can't remember which are which type. Doh.

i looked at them in the big green shope the base, and was disgusted b the amount they wanted for them.
If anyones liking the idea but doesnt necisarily have funds, cut a 2l juice bottle in half and you have 2 or cut it further down and you habe a bigger one.
Looking good, Im just hoping my plot is ok after stuff went missing. got so much i want to do next year. and put so much work into clearing the land.
Mum brought me some asda multi grow bag stuff 15L.
Have a load of spring water bottles i was saving up the 2L type. So i figured they might do as make shift plant pots till they at least reach seedling stage. So i measured 3 ridge indents of the bottle from the bottom then cut on the 3rd, turned over and stabed at least 2 good holes about 3mm wide. Did this 4 times filled with soil till 2nd ridge. Stabed centre put the seed in and covered.
So i now have 4 jalapeno plants on the go, hopefully i did things right tho i might have drenched them with too much water lol but i heard with seeds when u potting u gotta soak the soil (pot) up first time then later just bits to keep it moist. Hope i aint killed em already hehe. Tell me if u know how to do watering cos i dont want to drown em.
I have a plan to water em today then sat, mon, wed then thurs again so more or less every 2nd day just like my tomato plant.
As said im a beginner so if im doing owt wrong please advise.

I wouldnt water the Jalapinos, unill about monday now, unless they get realy dry. When first planting most seeds do need a good drink but if you over water them they rott, as i found out.
compost shouldnt be sodden, just moist. I just killed 4 sunflours and 4 beets because i soaked them.

Dont know lol, i had a bag of them i bought from the supermarket for eating purposes and then for some reason didnt eat them and at the point i noticed i was wanting to grow them so stuck them in the ground and bucket once they had the eyes.
I have a veg plot with about 20 of them in it and that bucket full of them, girls dad also has a small patch with 6 plants so looks like there wont be any potatoe famine in my area
Went up & cleared the last weeds out of my next bed this morning, Gave mine & me Mas plots & damned good watering as well & have my ground prepared for my shed. Got my permission sorted & am planning on putting an 8x6 up, Every Man has to have a Shed.

Even if it is just to sit in lol, I had one at my Maw's and i spent more time in there than in the house, now i live with the girl our sheds that small if i stood up it would have a hole in the roof

I have been out the country for a week so havent had time to get updates, from what i can see tho there has been some great advances.
I will get pictures once my phone decides to start taking them again, damn things anoying me.
I wish i could get a bigger patch in my garden, still pessemistic about the one at my uncles, havent been down in a bitto have a good look.
