GTA 4 PS3 vs 360

Got both consoles and will definatly be getting for the PS3, my reasons are the same as rp2000's there are just more people I know from here and in irl that have PS3's.

yes they added helicopters and other crap into them, but they never felt the same

I remember being totally blown away with GTA3 and played it constantly for months, the rest just didn't have the same sparkle or Wow factor imo. I think many loved VC cos that was the popular one. Although IMO VC was the weakest of the series. But GTA3 is really the best!!!!
 
Probably PS3 here as playing GTA with anything other than a PS pad feels wrong imo!! (Remembers GTA on the original Xbox!!:/). If the DLC is worth it when it comes out ill probably pick up the 360 version though that means im gonna have to pay for Live again aswell.:(

oh and yea GTAIII was the best by far!!!1!

I think its a no-brainer if you have both consoles get the 360 for the DLC.

However there are a couple of things I'd like to know about the DLC, firstly who is developing the DLC for the 360, is it confirmed to be Rockstar North? and is it confirmed how much it's going to cost?, if MS have shelled out $50m I can't see it being cheap.
 
I think that the DLC will be available for the PS3 given enough time. Vice City and GTAIII were PS2 exclusive remember, but both found their way to Xbox after a while. Sony paid $10,000,000 for Vice City to be exclusive for PS2 as well iirc.

Pretty sure that was announced as a timed exclusive at the time though wasnt it ?

I dont think you understand how the content was secured. MS have a contract with rockstar to get exclusive content (think of it more of an expansion pack), it is up to microsoft if it appears on the ps3.

PS3 users might get the odd car or maybe some new costumes, but they wont get the exclusive expansion pack(s) 360 users will get.

You can't afford 11p a day (at the full price), but you can afford to buy a PS3 and more games for it?

That's just shooting yourself in the foot because you're stubborn.

As for me, 360, better controllers, it'll have a much bigger online community at launch, it'll have downloadable content, it'll be a nicer experience.

I dunno, I actually preferred San Andreas on the Xbox. There are certain games, I feel should have stayed put though, Devil May Cry for instance is so wierd on an Xbox 360 pad lol, So I see where you're coming from :p
