GTA V Multiplayer thread (360, XBOX ONE, PS3 and PS4)

What would be a good plan if I were to start out in this now? I'm guessing most people are quite established in terms of cash/weaponry/cars - is there much advantage to having all that stuff before other people?

The lack of money means the lack of weapons in the lobby for you to fight back.

Though to be honest, the main problem are the tanks and you can't really shoot them with gun even if you are flushed. It does mean all the exotic cars are beyond your reach and if you manage to save up for one, not more than one. For example, today's DLC, I spent over $150k on clothing, guns, and masks ! There is a new car that is $750k !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

In terms of actual game play on missions and whatnot, not so much, as long as you don't run out of bullets. Do races where custom cars are off. You should be fine.

The money puts you in an advantage of more guns, more exotic and faster cars, bigger apartments so you can have more choice of cars.
Money also allow you to upgrade your cars
The levels allow you access to buy better guns.
Levels also is a way where they restrict how a car can be upgraded, for example if you want Turbo on your car, not only you need the cash, you also need to do so many turbo starts. To get engine upgrades, you need the cash and be at a certain level.
 
I'm getting fairly bored of it now tbh and only been playing since January ish and am a measly level 40 with the poverty spec garage and Elegy RH8. There really isn't anything to keep me wanting to come back.

Thats the problem with GTA Online, there's nothing to draw people back to play, its the same borefest over and over.
 
Online is getting a bit boring you just have to think of daft things to do like the Maze Building Challenge or get a Big Rig with trailer up Mount Chiliad
 
Ridiculous that we're still waiting for heists. My friends and I stopped playing multi because it's the only thing we were interested in. I came back and grinded my way to 120 after seeing a lot of rumours that they were coming soon and I wanted to be prepared and get all my unlocks, I've had some fun here and there but will probably see it as a waste of time if heists turn out to suck.

Wouldn't be so bad if there was a proper mission creator and not just these race/dm/grab ones, even if the payout was crap custom missions would be epic
 
Is the grind while tough to do? Whats the best things to play to get lv up?

Im at lvl 50 but really want to get the rocket launcher, have been back playing this and enjoying the MP again.

Hopefully heists is as good as we are expecting.
 
Yeah if you can get someone who's lv75+ to invite you to Rooftop Rumble they'll usually grind it a few times, I played it about 6 times last night, $18750 on hard and about 4k XP a pop. Otherwise it's just a case of playing whatever missions you can, I think there's a double cash/xp on captures going on atm.
