GTX 1060

The 1070 Strix is £480

Edit: That is to say that Strix cards are more expensive than most AIB cards

Umm,you can get GTX1070 cards for under £400 - even a crap GTX1070 would destroy a GTX1060.

Yup. Asus and MSI are douchebags this gen. And forget 1070s... one can get a great 980ti (pretty much the same perf as 1070) for not much more than that 1060 Strix.

Nvidia fail... looks like the 1080ti probably will be £1k at this rate.

Edit:
Madness. I think I'm done with PC gaming.

This time next year a 1150 will be £400. Nah, screw you guys (AMD + nV), I'm bailing.

Wait for me! I'm bailing too! Though I'm keeping my 970 for good 1080p. The nice sale on the 380X might be a good buy for that present I wanted to get someone... screw the current gen cards and their dodgy prices.

I'm only on a 2500k with on-board gfx... so it's not much good currently as a gaming rig. Will use it for web browsing and look at getting a console, methinks.

The new Xbone-S comes in August, looks decent, especially if you want to watch a lot of TV from it as its got native 4k video out..

Failing that, next year is the year of the power console, Scorpio could be a game changer.
