It looks about 5% faster than the RX 480. It overclocks nicely too though. I really can't see a reason to go with the RX 480 at this point.

Lol @ prices. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. This is getting ridiculous. AMD have no custom cards available and both nvidia and amd are price gouging like no tomorrow. It's just sad to see that 2 year old cards still deliver better perfomance and value when it used to be the other way around. Who in their right mind would buy a gtx 1060 over a fury nitro/nano/gtx 980 ti?

Looks like nVidia have been telling the reveiwers what to write.

Eg I've just read the Guru3D article. In almost all the game benchmarks, the 1060 was 5-10% *below* the 980.

In their conclusion, they write that the 1060 is "at or above 980 performance across the board".

So I won't be going to that site again in a hurry. They must think we're braindead.

Only issue here They not saying what GPUs they have used we know the 480 is a Ref design but what 1060 are they using? 1060 seems around 5-10fps faster in some game. but also Priced higher.

Depending on the review it either trades blows or is a bit quicker overall and consumes less power,but seems to cost a bit more than the RX480(or in the case of some of the AIB models much more).

Not in DX12, though. Also find weird that Vulkan benchmarks seem to be MIA.

I think I'm going to stick to buying second hand cards a year or so after launch. These prices are ridiculous.

For the same price of a 1060, ~£260, I got two 290s (both of which unlocked to 290Xs) 2 years ago.

Yeah, they seem to overclock better than 1080s. Guru got an overclock of nearly 350MHz.

Its a shame about the exchange rate, if we were still at $1.50 to £1 we would probably have seen the cheapest of these around £200-210.
