How does it compare to other cards?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
This is what I want to know.
These 1060s at £300 are a ******* joke! Heck there's one for £330 is it? Same price as a ******* 980 Ti!!!! You can't sli it either and just from going off one review bittech with it overclocked it just about manage a a victory over a stock 980. This launch is a joke same price or more expensive then what a 970 launched at 2 years ago yet performs like a good overclocked card. So you compare a stock 1060 to an overclocked 970 they're neck and neck so the 1060 will have to rely on an overclock to manage the victory which for 2 years of waiting for and at the same price or more expensive is an absolute joke!!

But won't a single fan not get rid of heat slower than the dual or triple fan ones? Ergo be less overclockable than the dual and triple fans due to heat?
Correct me if I'm wrong. I know they pull the same wattage but to dissipate the heat to allow better OCing, wouldn't the single fan falter and have reduced OC ability???
Regarding SLI that kills it for me, perfect low power card to SLI down the line picking up a dirt cheap used one, **** Nvidia.
Having a look on the OCUK front page - Brand new 970 for £199....MSI 1060 for £299 haha. £100 more for basically same performance but more vRAM
The 970's will have been bought when the $ was low and are EOL so yes they will be cheaper. The 1060's will have been bought with post Brexit prices hence why they are more. Been explained by Gibbo loads of times <yawn>. Curious how you pick a 1060 at £299 not the £229 cheapest one or even the £249 in stock. Newer tech always has a price premium (yawn). Your surprise and humour are very immature.
or you can get the £229 one and move on ...
