GTX 1070 - any takers?

Ha, I felt that way after the GTX 970 memory thing, and the ceo non apology.

At least this time your getting a full '8GB'. It's just Nvidia are charging twice the price for it :p

I played cod with the misses over 2 screens and I hit the vram 3.5 limit and we couldnt play the game so we couldnt play it. sold the 970 thinking the price woult be too bad..... think again tony

looks like all the 900 peeps are jumping with joy

:D

i would imagen that AMD is partying right now laughing their behinds off. Now if only they can pull through this time around with a proper card, proper drivers and proper price and they should be laughing all the way to the bank as well.

"Unrivalled in terms of performance vs price."

LOL no thanks , I have 2 Infractions active at the moment thanks to the Members Market strange rules (also 1 other one that was not my fault) and a 3rd strike means I'm out .. so I would rather not take the chance... also this is a company that is a retailer that is allowing us free access on a forum they created. So I have a bit of respect not to do that too.

yeah the rules are a bit mad to get used to no worries bud

Anyway, just wanted to comment about these prices if they end up being true. If they are, then as others have said, waiting it out is the only option really and not buy into it and hopefully NV and the retailers will know they can't get away with it. Unless mid 100s is pocket change to some then it probably doesn't matter to them.

When has that EVER happened though, a significant drop on a card a short while after release? Heck, just look at how high the 970/980 price stayed throughout its run. I think it's nothing but wishful thinking to hope these prices will fall. Nvidia have cemented themselves as the Apple of the GPU world and nothing will change. Yes, in an ideal world NO-ONE would buy therefore driving prices down, but that's obviously not going to happen. Common sense always loses out to the desire for new shiny with the vast majority, and I would bet that most people won't even question the price, they'll just hand over the cash with a smile on their face. Is the way of the world. :(

£410

So Easy, you gonna keep that 1080 now? :p

Not sure tbh...I'm in no mans land.....:p

But anyone with 400 quid to spend on a gfx card can surely raise 125 quid for a 1080.

The 1070 at this price is crazy...who in their right mind would buy one? When the 1080 at only a few quid more gets you so much more performance?

Would be the logical thing to do
