Aye, I'll clock my CPU back up to 3.6 and see what I get. Anyways it's only 3dmark, lets get to the juicy stuff!

I know that, its just there are a lot of people on here that will jump on the score and say its terrible! they dont understand the CPU limitation!

Strife you8 must be happy with the gains you're seeing in game so far Looks like a cracking upgrade for you!

I'll run some 3Dmark 2006 1920x1200 with 4x AA.

on the OP could you also add in what AA&AF you are using .

mmmmm, not bad, but I do find that the Crysis bench mark test is far from a true indication of performance throughout the whole game, in later levels I could easily see that halving, but still, not bad.

Well done Psychas thats with a Quad core!

Its only a Core2Duo here @ 3.2Ghz! Couple his card with a Q6600 @ 4Ghz and there would be a massive increase!

Was expecting more to be honest. A 4850 does 30fps at that res so maybe it's true then. Two 4850's in crossfire will beat the GTX280 in Crysis at 1920 x 1200?

are you using the drivers from the provided disk or the ones from Nividia Webbie?

i only ask as im waiting for my GTX to turn up and want to make sure i use the best drivers at the moment,

It is a bit low yeah.

The C2D is at 3.15Ghz to be precise. I'm running Vista 64 bit with aero on though.

177.35 will be your best drivers looking at the release notes. And they won;t be the ones which come with you GTX. I think you only get 177.26 with them?

And a quad makes what difference to Crysis? None, last time I looked.
