I think I might need new PSU for my two new Gigabyte Windforce . I currently have a XFX 850w Pro Core PSU which has 2x 6+2pin PCIE and 2x6pin PCIE which was happy with my OC 2600k and 670 4gb SLI.
The card work fine on their own with or without the bundled molex convertors BUT when both cards are installed only one card is detected in windows. Both cards oddly are detected in the BIOS, if If switch the display cables from the top to bottom card both cards are detected but as soon as I putt load on them both I get BSOD.
As a side note 1 card folding on its own is fine, to have the molex connectors to use on the converting cables I had to unplug the additional molex and 4pin ATX power cables on my motherboard so that probably don’t help.
I picked up 2x 6 to 8pin PCIE cables from maplins so I hope they will do the job. If not I see you can get a HX1050 for £155. Oh I tried pluging the 6pin directly into the other 8pin sucked but I got the "plug your power cable in " message.
I wonder if i should just make a new thread on this
