Ummm I run at 1600p and its close to 3gb?????
If 1600P is not tanking on a 2GB card, I would pretty much say it will not be tanking on a 3GB card.

Some more rumours coming out now about GTX 780 Ti coming in 3GB/6GB/12GB versions. This is with the 6GB/12GB version having higher clocks also.

May make some sense with the 6GB/12GB cards taking the place of the current Titan in the line up. Really hoping there will be some non-reference cards on launch.
12GB is crazy!
12GB is crazy!
12gb is crazy and also pointless.
Absolutely. Completely pointless probably even for 4K surround!
...may not be true!
I can't wait to see the price of a 12gb ti. Some rich guy with no knowledge will get one and try waving his epeen around to be told what a fool he was.
It won't happen. Nvidia don't usually provide more memory that what will likely be enough for the useful lifetime of the product, unless it's some kind of 790 based on a 780 or ti having 6gb (unlikely). The Titan is an exception but isn't the memory size in that more to do with architecture?
I took R9 290X as a reference for this comparison. Long story short, the GTX 780 Ti is about 6% faster than R9 290X, this is out-of-the-box performance. With overclocking GTX 780 Ti can be 15-23% faster than R9 290X. To illustrate, GTX 780 Ti scored 6100k points in 3DMark 11 with 1246 MHz clock, and let me remind you, we are still talking about reference cooler.
No, 290X in non-OC uber-mode was the baseline. I am sure there will be more to come soon.Did they OC the 290x in the OC comparison?
