GTX 780 Ti Specifications Leaked – Full Blown Gk110 Core with 2880 SP

So as a guess we might be looking at something like this for reference?

3GB - £549 - 599
6GB - £699 - 799
12GB - £799 - 999

I strongly expect Nvidia will have something at that $1000 price point again and the 12GB seems the likely candidate for that. They could go with the 6GB but I just feel that AMD are a little too close to them on performance to warrant that price point.

Let the price speculation begin.

12 gig? Wtf is the point of that amount of ram on a card? Even 6 gig is over the top for single gpu but 12?

Think we all agree on that.

Tests suggest just over 4GB is needed for decent 4K rendering (8294400 pixels) so even with 3 x 1080p monitors (6220800 pixels) it's not clear.

Suppose maybe with games like BF4 saying 3GB VRAM is recommended, perhaps with 3 monitors would take us up to 9GB assuming a linear scaling (not that it is necessarily correct) so that could "justify" it?

I'm merely hypothesising of course as I don't believe we are going to be needing that much VRAM for quite some time (that would actually be more than I have RAM at the moment).

Would really like some actual info on this card, Will there be these rumoured 3, 6 and 12GB versions, Will there be a "Black Edition", I really don't see the point in all this cloak and dagger BS.

I think where the rumoured black edition comes from is before the GTX 690 launched it was going to have a black coffin cooler but NVidia dropped the idea as the silver version looked better.

If the 780ti is going to be a performance card I think we can also forget any idea of it coming with 12gb of vram as this will make overclocking a pain.

Its only like Amd with its NDA coming out not coming out when comes out no stock lol

NVIDIA 780 TI 6GB Black Knight Edition with free Batman game? Something along the lines of the Classified would have been great with the Titan cooler in a better shroud.

I would probably hit that for £600 if the Batman game was good and i qualified for the Assasins Creed and Splinter Cell games too.

But in that 3gb isn't that taken up by game resources such as textures and such? So for 3 monitors it's not exactly going to be 3 x 3gb right?
For 4k gaming I can see then need for at least 4gb yes but I doubt there's a need more 6gb+

Oh yes !! On par with GTX 690 !!

I can't wait for these !

This is the 290X / Titan killer !!

Nearly 500W, wtf!?

How can they produce that?

Mobo is ~75W and 2x 8pin are 150W each. That's a lot less than 500W.

I can't see them using 3 power connectors surely?

Not very likely, it won't overclock as well as the GTX 690 and the 690 packs 16 SMX modules not 15 like the 780ti.

This all reminds me of the Titan launch when they said it would match a GTX 690 and in the end the Titan did not get close.

I think those figures are for the whole system so somewhere around 300watts is probably closer.

This is my fear too :(

I think the easy way to work out the performance is to take any Titan overclocked benchmark and add about 4%. In theory it should be 6.66% but the full GK110 will lose a bit of overclocking headroom.

As to the fact that the 780ti comes with vram @1750, most Titans can do that easy.

^^ Looks like a monster to me, I'm waiting for 6GB Black Edition before I bite.

The only other thing that could tempt me is Gigabyte custom PCB 290X.

Think I'll sell my 780 to lessen the impact to my wallet..

Buy another GTX 780 in a couple of weeks when the price drops.
