GTX 780 Ti Specifications Leaked – Full Blown Gk110 Core with 2880 SP

I'm looking to ditch my 2 x 680's for a 780Ti.

I know this is a side grade but I would prefer 1 card.

I must admit though I have been tempted by 2 290's in crossfire but the heat and especially the noisy fan does concern me.

Lets also not forget crossfire implementation is game specific like SLI so it works well some times and other times it is a pile of rubbish.

Frostbite mantle support does interest me as well but loosing GSync is a bit of a pain. I think Gsync is more important but I see no indication of getting a 1440P IPS panel with Gsync support this side of xmas or even before we get the next gen GPU's

Are the 290's really that noisy I am guessing with a single PCI slot gap the top card would probably cook big time.

I'm also looking at the 780ti to replace my SLI 680s. But that's mainly because I'm hitting the 2GB vram limit in BF4 @ 1440p which is really disappointing. That or 2x 780s depending on how its priced.

I am sure it will but I will confirm. I am positive I have read someone is running a Titan in a Prodigy. brb
I have a Prodigy case for one of my systems, and I can confirm that in terms of length, any graphic card would fit without problem; however it will not take graphic cards with cooler that's more than two slots (I think HIS's IceQ blower card won't fit neither, since it's more than 2 slots).

I am wondering what Nvidia will be doing about Titan pricing with this coming out. Wonder if they will retain the price premium due to the compute element?

There is one thing even the most loyal Nvidia fan cannot ignore :p

If the GTX 780ti comes in at £600+ That's the same price as two R9 290's !!

Two 4GB cards as well, that already compete well with GK110..

I just can't see the ti launching much higher than £550 it may even come in lower, £550 will be the base price, obviously some retailers could mark it up higher if they think they can get away with it, but yeah the entry point will be around £550, any higher and the R9 290's are to tempting an alternative.

You are bang on the money Boom, there IS one thing even the most loyal Nvidia fans cannot ignore...........the 290 is an AMD card!!! :D:D:D

Tummy if you aren't using compute then wait for the 6GB 780ti, should be a little faster than Titan and cheaper, Titan will probably go EOL soon.

Well I will be sorted for buying 4 780Ti's. A very nice guy keeps emailing me (Mark Howard) and he is going to tell me how to make a living at beating the French roulette tables. I will be rich thanks to this nice chap :D

Haha, I get emails like this. Really creepy ones as well, some auto bot spamming email thing. Some are funny, some are creepy as hell lol :D

I went to college with a guy called Mark Howard, I wouldn't follow his advice if I were you, if it's the one I know he once lost a shoe in a poker game.

At least you don't get automated calls from Chris Cardell. Wish I'd never gone to his poxy seminar now.

GeForce GTX 780 Ti can offer a very similar performance to both GTX TITAN and R9 290X, but the leaker claims that in newer 3Dmarks Radeon can still offer better scores. The thing to notice is again the temperature with an average at 79 C.

Card was stable only up to 1054 MHz, rising a clock to 1092 MHz didn’t increase the performance, instead GPU Boost 2.0 made the card run slower due to temperature limitation. I’m not sure why his sample has such a bad overclocking potential. Apparently he didn’t increase the power limit. According to my knowledge some GTX 780 Ti samples can reach 1100-1200 MHz without any problem

Gibbo posted in other thread saying TI hammers TITAN.
So does overclocked 290s/GTX780. Until we know what base clock the GTX780Ti comes with, and how much overclocking headroom is left in the tank, it means very little.

In theory the Titan should be undisputedly faster than the GTX780, but because of not being able to clock as high due to extra SP, it was barely faster.

Not long until proper reviews now..

It's looking like,

GTX 770 = R9 280X
GTX 780 = R9 290
GTX 780 Ghz = R9 290X
GTX 780 Ti = R9 290X 'Non ref'
GTX 780 Ti 'Non ref' 'Black edition' = ????????????
