GTX 780 Ti Specifications Leaked – Full Blown Gk110 Core with 2880 SP

Seems all the leaks now are just confirming what we already know. All the card manufacturers seem to be stock at launch as expected - inno3D, Zotac, Galaxy and Gigabyte images all leaked so far confirming the same thing.

Have you forgotten that GTX780 was launched at $649.99 in the US, but £550-£650 here in the UK?

For $699.99, it would most likely mean £580-£680 over here...

Nvidia didn't have competition back then, there were hikes, also did you not notice the '+' sign in my post lol.

My guess is prices will start from £550+ for the vanilla GTX 780ti. The sky is the limit on what Nvidia will charge for 6GB and 'Black Editions'.

My point was that we can't really predict UK pricing like your suggestion of basing on US pricing, exchange to pounds, then add VAT cause UK would always get hit by price hike that cannot be predicted from calculation (even if you want to include "price hike" into the calculation, you simply can't because you just wouldn't know how big or small the hike is gonna be). This has already proven by the launch of GTX690, Titan and GTX780.

Funny enough, for the launch price in the UK, it is usually more accurate by just taking US (non-tax price), minus 50~70, and then change the $ sigh to £ and we would have a fairly accurate UK launch price (with price hike included) and mostly on the mark most of the time (as proven by the UK launch price of the GTX690, Titan and GTX780). So $699.99 (non-tax price) we'd probably be looking at £629.99~£649.99 over here. This would most likely be more accurate than trying to calculate using the exchange rate+VAT+(?) uncertain price hike approach :p

But yes I would agree on the point that there are some competition this time round (unlike the GTX690, Titan, GTX780 launch), so the price hike would hopefully be less this time round.

Black Edition will probably be the new TITAN so upwards of £800. Especially if the 12GB RAM is true, it's pretty pricey.

It's already confirmed that the Ti won't challenge Titan in compute so there won't be another Titan, Nvidia don't like leaking business from Quadro line.

There is one thing even the most loyal Nvidia fan cannot ignore :p

If the GTX 780ti comes in at £600+ That's the same price as two R9 290's !!

Two 4GB cards as well, that already compete well with GK110..

I just can't see the ti launching much higher than £550 it may even come in lower, £550 will be the base price, obviously some retailers could mark it up higher if they think they can get away with it, but yeah the entry point will be around £550, any higher and the R9 290's are to tempting an alternative.

I think this is something that a lot of people will be considering tbh, the only thing putting people off is going to be heat and its massive power consumption.. two 290's in crossfire will take a lot of power!

Hell, even if people must stick with Nvidia, I've already say it would make far more sense to just grab a pair of GTX780. The GTX780Ti really just is just for willy-waving and reclaiming the performance crown than practicality.

If anyone already got a GTX780 and considering upgrading to GTX780Ti- DON'T! Do the sensible thing either holding on to what you got, or if you MUST upgrade, grab another GTX780 now that they are at relatively good price. Not much point getting the GTX780Ti for the 6GB vram neither, unless you are going to grab a pair and play on a 4K monitor right now; otherwise just stick with the GTX780(s) and wait for next gen 20nm cards.

Thats very true Boomstick I was thinking the same thing. I have the money at moment ( thanks to the wife ) to buy a 780TI even at its higher end price but I can have 2 R290 in Xfire mode for £600 which would be faster. Theres also the mantle factor - most of the PC games I will be buying will be using frostbite engine - if the increase is like 10% plus or even 20% then Im sold. If only the R290 custom fan models were released I would have no problems at all taking them over Nvidia. ( More ram / higher memory bandwidth etc ). I have used AMD / Nvidia for the past 16 years so have no brand loyalty whatsoever. Its purely bangs for bucks. Phyiscs on nvidia is nice but I can easliy live without it.

This is true, but I don't think nVidia will worry much as their flagship products have always carried a price premium and a lot of people are still wary of dual GPU configs.

Also cannot overlook the fact that 2 290's are going to be hot & noisy along with the possibility of people needing a new PSU to manage them vs a single 780ti.

I will be surprised if it comes in below £600

I'm looking to ditch my 2 x 680's for a 780Ti.

I know this is a side grade but I would prefer 1 card.

I must admit though I have been tempted by 2 290's in crossfire but the heat and especially the noisy fan does concern me.

Lets also not forget crossfire implementation is game specific like SLI so it works well some times and other times it is a pile of rubbish.

Frostbite mantle support does interest me as well but loosing GSync is a bit of a pain. I think Gsync is more important but I see no indication of getting a 1440P IPS panel with Gsync support this side of xmas or even before we get the next gen GPU's

Are the 290's really that noisy I am guessing with a single PCI slot gap the top card would probably cook big time.

You'll be waiting a long time for that. The only announced Gsync monitor is Asus and TN panel 1080p coming H1 2014.

By that measure you will easily be 12 months away from a 1440p monitor with Gsync?

What, The system power is only 500-600w for 2x290's!!!!

750w Psu sholuld be just about ok for crossfire, depending on cpu oc and other ancillaries.
