GTX 970 returns ????

As others have said they are still just as good for gaming as all the benchmarks etc you have read indicated. It's a bit of a storm in a teacup really.

The 970 issue worked out well for Nvidia. People are rewarding them twice by buying 970's and then sending them back and paying twice as much to get 980ti's...lol

After buying two of these cards a few weeks back I've been reading about how they were flawed and against manufacturing standards ie. product description. Now is there any sort of buyback from the companies (manufacturers) for these cards? Do we have any right to complain and expect our money back? Or is what they are saying not really a problem? Thoughts anybody?
they still havent update the description though so surely people could still send them back under them terms?

He clearly isn't otherwise he would know of this already, don't you think? He's just someone caught up in the paranoia.

Very few people returned the 970, its one of the best selling cards and performs very well. That's about it really.

Nice AMD cards you both have.

Have you actually used a 970? I'm guessing not, just jumping on the "let's moan" bandwagon without any proper research. Can't be bothered trying to explain it, google should help you.

I understand what you are saying, but that fault is not to be blamed on the consumer. All the reviews out there are still the same as the release day as far as I know. How was he to know? Not everyone does lots of research before buying, you trust that the company selling the product is telling the truth.

Most people would do 5 min research into a £280 item before they buy it. A google search of "970 problems" brings a whole load up. The company's are telling the truth, they do have 4GB of VRAM but 0.5GB is slower than the rest

Actually I did have a Galax 970 Black Edition which I returned after the memory fiasco. Then bought a 2nd hand 7970 to crossfire and its actually the same or slightly faster than the 970, and saved £200 in the process.
