My pc is now very well cooled, but the problem is the distance from the lowest card to the PSU, the PSU will be drawing all the air away from the lower Card, this is why the dual card is so good.
there's nothing stopping me buying a new case though

I was interested in this also, but have lost interest since finding out Nvidia have hobbled the cooler compared to the Titan version.
Now looking at that Galax (lol) twin fan jobbie with the backplate (if only it had a black PCB).
When (if) the price drops a bit, that will probably be my 970 choice.

0db idle and 29db at load, pretty much beats any card for noise going its almost as noisy as the most basic gpu with any power that is.

The only problem is micro stutter i am so scared of it and the vram usage. Although i have sort of calmed down a bit because when i realistically looked at what a 970sli can do 4K is still fairly out of reach in most games.
The reviews i saw Farcry 3 1080p 4xMSAA 128fps avg which was just bang on what i required for my FG2421. When i bump to 3840x2160 you see that most games will still be unplayable so would it be wise to even bother waiting for 8GB clearly its still lacking a bit of grunt yet?
No where near playable on two for me personally only 46fps.
Sweet spot at 120hz?
4K is out the window here for sure this looks like 1080p max.
Again 1080p sweetspot.
Physx is off so even struggling at 1080p to hit full 120 frames.
One of the few games you can crank up 4K.
970/980 are good for upgraders especially 2x 970 in sil but they are not yet up to job of doing 4K and that 256bit bus sure don`t help. You can already see it holding back the 980 on a high overclock on the core.

I think a 990 could be out in next few months. With lower power,cooler and cheaper chips, it's only a natural progression to make a 990 dual chip card available for say £900, and some here I'm sure wouldn't mind two of those!.
Yes our OcUK 970 is a specific Titan cooler version.

I have it on good authority that a 670 EK CSQ block fits the inno3d 970 will confirm when stock lands as we have 3 670 blocks going cheap
