I thought 1 was dire, and 2 surprised me by actually being OK.

I had such low expectations going into 2 you wouldn't believe

But I really like Kurt Russell, so maybe it was that

Much better than vol.2 maybe the same or slightly better than vol.1 would need to watch it again when it comes out on streaming.

Probably 8/10 or thereabouts. Hard to say more without spoilery talk.

Edit: I would recommend anyone planning to see it watches the Holiday Special on D+ 1st.

Absolutely brilliant. Loved every moment. Best Phase 4 Marvel movie imo.

For me redeemed themselves from the second.

Watched it on Thursday evening. Was quite enjoyable if a little predictable. A good wrap up to the films.

We watched it sat in motion recliners which made it really immersive, hadn’t watched a movie using these before and it was really fun.

The first one is still the best as a film (pacing!) but this was a fitting end and hits in the feels more than expected. If only the rest of the MCU was as character-driven and had writers who loved their creations as much as Gunn did.

Watched this last night, despite loving the MCU phase 4 has been by far the weakest to date.
Thankfully this 3rd entry did not dissapoint. A fitting end to the guardians, I'll happily watch that again when it's out on disney+ added bonus you don't need to have watched anything in the MCU to enjoy this. Maybe the Christmas special at a push.

I wonder how the script would have been without the IW/Endgame plots affecting it. You can already tell Gunn wasn’t 100% with it given he ignored the Russo’s bringing back Peter’s equipment after it was destroyed in GoTG2.

It's a bit weak plot tbh. It happens all the time in comics when someone dies and get resurrected.

The original Gamora was sacrificed by Thanos to get the infinity gem. She is dead and can't be revived by anything or anyone cause she did not die from the snap. Same applies to Black Widow. According to their rules.

The Gamora that came back from end game and one in GotG 3 came from alternative timeline, one where she never met Peter and the gang. So by getting pulled into this timeline she stuck so isn't the same person at all.

Imo it's just a way for Zoe to say I don't want to come back after this final movie and only fulfilling my contract. Hence why Gamora never joins the gang and instead loves being a ravager instead for no good reason????. It's a bit weak if I am being honest.

With 5 being average I thought it was around 4.5/10.

It was watchable, predicable but did give some backstory. The issue is - do we care about the backstory?

Zoe S just seemed bored as did most of the other crew.
