It has to be redeemed direct through iTunes and iTunes has to have the film available in UHD to get the upgrade.

If you are redeeming through VUDU or moviesanywhere, it has to be an UHD code you are redeeming, it can't be a HD code.

It can get quite confusing, Apple should just upgrade all films to UHD regardless of how they were redeemed. :)

Thanks Clov!s, not come across a UK code that works in VUDU or MoviesAnywhere yet, but will keep trying them.

Hi guys,

New on here and been getting to grips with the whole VUDU, MA, iTunes digital movies thing over the past month and i feel I have the grasp of most of it all now.

But, I have come across an issue when trying to redeem some 4K Movie codes in VUDU, all of the codes seem to be fine as they show up what I am trying to redeem when not signed in, but when I sign in they come up with an error.

I have tried this using Hola on Chrome on my Mac and also using VPNSecure on my iPhone, and i get the error every time, has anybody else had this issue before?

The error i get is...
"Error
Failed to redeem promo, please try again later."

Any help with this would be very much appreciated

Is it definitely a US code you are trying to redeem? If you send me the code I'll try and redeem it through my VUDU if I haven't already got it, if it doesn't redeem then there's an error, if it does redeem I'll buy you a new code. :)

Would like to say a big thanks to the OP of this thread for all of the useful Info.

I am in the UK and have an Apple TV 4K so wanted to get my digital movies working on the Apple TV. I have created a US Apple ID, a Movies Anywhere account and a Vudu account. Successfully linked them all together along with my UK UV account and UK Google Play account. Added the US Apple ID to my Apple TV and all of my movies have synced through.

Just a heads up for anyone having problems. I found that I had to first make a UK Apple ID so I could use my UK phone number for the two factor authentication, once I had done that I then changed the region of the Apple ID to the US. Although I had to put in a made up 10 digit phone number, it still uses my UK number for two step authentication as that is the trusted phone number originally signed up with. When I signed into my Apple TV, I had to go through two step authentication, so it would have been impossible any other way. For Movies Anywhere, the free Windscribe worked fine to successfully create the account, although I had to play around with the different locations, it did go through in the end.

I currently have a lot of UK 4K codes for a lot of newly released titles, Ive tried putting these into Vudu and Movies Anywhere but they won't go through. I'm trying to get them to sync through to my Apple TV in 4K. In the first post it says that UK codes can be redeemed on VUDU, has this now been changed so that UK codes can't be redeemed on VUDU? I can redeem them into my UK UV account, but then they'll only sync into iTunes in HD. Is there any other way to redeem UK codes so they'll sync through to iTunes in 4K?

What code is it? Do you want me to try and redeem through my Flixster account and see if i get 4K through itunes and VUDU? If it works then i'll buy you a new code or the US equivalent. :)
 
I have Deadpool 2, The Greatest Showman, Valerian And The City of A Thousand Planets, The Matrix off the top of my head, all from 4K Blus. I also have quite a few 4K Blus still sealed which most should contain codes. All are UK codes. Is the best solution to redeem these codes through my Flixster account and hope that some port over to iTunes in 4K?

I have just redeemed a 4K code of La La Land through my UK Flixster account, it has linked to VUDU but it isn't MoviesAnywhere so won't port to iTunes unfortunately. Redeeming UK codes through Flixster works though so that's a bonus, try and redeem Deadpool 2 through Flixster, that will then show in your VUDU account as UHD and also port to itunes through MA as UHD too. :)

Just try one first and see if it works for you, try your least favourite film just incase it only redeems HD.

I am going to try redeeming Deadpool 2 though Flixster and see if it ports through to iTunes in 4K. However when I log into my UK Flixster account it asks me to search for the movie title I want to redeem. When I search for Deadpool 2 nothing comes up. Am I doing something wrong?

Just noticed that, Deadpool is on there but not 2, that's strange. Also noticed that my copy of La La Land which i redeemed through Flixster last night has now gone from my VUDU account so it may not work after all.
 
Strange. So am I right I’m thinking that the only option I have for Deadpool 2 is to redeem through the UV website or redeem through the instructions on the slip?

What are the instructions given on the slip? Fox redeem? If so, that'll work fine as when you redeem, it'll give you an iTunes option. Just make sure you are logged into your US apple ID when it opens iTunes.

Yeah instructions are to redeem at foxredeem.com. When entering the code though it only gives me an option to redeem through Google Play. Any way around this?
 
With regards to Flixster, I found a link that took me directly to a enter code page last week, as in it skipped the search for title page. I can't seem to find it now, anyone know the link?
