I don't know about Desolation as a whole but anyone from the Immortals who posted here is either playing something else or hasn't been in this forum for weeks/months. I assume the guild died or became very innactive as they were prolific posters in this thread and now we never see anything.

Anyways... A few poeple (at least recently posted) seem to be on Gandara. I know I am, but I'm not in a position to offer you a place in my guild (Underworld Batallion [WvW]) as it's 'invite only' I'm afraid.

However, there are lots of active guilds on the server. Show up, be seen. Contribute to sieges and show some iniitative and you'll get spotted and invites come in from the more established and hardcore guilds. That's how it went for me, anyway. Good luck.

There's always half a dozen on, more on busier days. A little quiet but steady enough.
 
Hey guys, I was in beta and played this game for a few weeks after launch but quickly stopped playing because it just felt so lonely :(.

I'm on Gandara but could switch servers to desolation or something and was wondering if there is a decent group on here of guys that do WvW and PvE together. Sadly I'm quite low ranked, I have a level 33 necro, 22 warrior and I'm just starting a ranger and guardian atm.

I'd be quite interested in getting into PvP too but having not played the game in quite a few months, I need to get my head around the builds again. I also have my masters exams at the moment so won't be getting a huge amount of game time atm but am up for it after the finish for sure.
 
Just a heads up, I'm leader of a small 8 man'ish guild on Desolation. We like doing a bit of everything including fractals on a Monday night, and a bit of WvW and PvP. If anyone wants a casual guild just to mess about with, mail Techteus :)

Lonely from lack of players or from people not talking?
Blacktide is heaving and has been since launch day, annoyingly so at times, but im not one to complain.

Well I've just been doing all the events by my self and I don't have any real life friends who play gw2, so there isn't much chance of me making new friends on gw2 at the moment :(.

Tempted to jump server, but it's odd considering gandara used to be the best server to be on for it's high population but not high enough to make you wait all the time like desolation.
 
I'm going to take advantage of the £15 discount which ends the 17th - which is a good server to join? does ocuk have a server they use? I'll just be casual

Yup like most guilds we took a big hit in numbers, not people leaving the guild, they just quit the game, which tbh has surprised me as its a very good game.

We have around 6/10 on most of the day with around 12/20 on in the evening, most days around 50 people log in, which spread over a day is not a lot.

I've been pondering changing my server. I'm currently on 'Underworld', which I chose on launch day.

But it now seems pretty dead(?)

I'm looking at swapping servers, and the following seem popular based on posts here:

Blacktide - The glory hunters pvp server, in an MUFC sort of way.
Desolation - The UCUK 'Immortals' guild server.
Gandara - Seems populated with aspiring and active guilds.
Gunnars Hold - It was popular but seems in decline.

I'm tempted to go for Gandara, but any advice is appreciated.

I have been distracted by 'Far Cry 3', but GW2 has dragged me back in. My main is a lvl 80 Asura Engineer bomb build, and I'm developing my Guardian.

So, any advice re. which server to choose?

Hey, I'm on gandara at the moment and just trying to make some friends. Just made one earlier today and been doing some things with him, if you do switch over you should hit me up.
