Guild Wars 2

I'm going to take advantage of the £15 discount which ends the 17th - which is a good server to join? does ocuk have a server they use? I'll just be casual

Is there any deals like this at the moment? I would like to get the game but if it was nearly 50% off a few days ago then I feel like I should wait.

I have the game all installed and it is free to play but I just can't be bothered to fire it up and log in. Guess many other immortals did the same too then.

I re-logged in the other day after a big break - my god its dead, literally dead, I think GW1 had a more active player base years after launch than this has in mere months.

no surprise, they ****ed up the game big time by not making it anything like GW1!

If they made it like gw1, people will moan and say its just gw1 with updated graphics.

i like what they have done. who wants a COD style sequal ie, sprinkle a few new maps and call it the next sequal?

Not what i want. i want a sequal to be different to the previous game in as many ways as it can be instead of applying a new lick of paint so to speak.

What they have done on this game is quite frankly amazing.

This game is a masterpiece IMO.

I bought it on release and made an alt of every class with the highest being around level 33. It's not that I got bored or didn't enjoy the game it's just I find Rift far more fun for PvP since Storm legion addon.

The beauty of GW2 is you can pick up and play it whenever you want plus it's a fantastic game.

Also he is saying that GW1 had a more active player base. But i think he is forgetting that you only saw other players in the town areas, so everyone is grouped in a few areas. GW2 doesnt play like that everyone is everywhere. Not seen any decline, sometime i got to the started areas to complete the last few points on a daily and they are still full up.

You must be on a **** server then.

I was worried it would go quieter, certainly in lower zoned but I'm on a med pop server at the mo (switched to buy rest of my Balth gear :D) and on a 15-25 zone (Te human one before Gendarran) there was a group of 15+ of us doing a meta event in the zone and whenever you called an event you had a min of 3 people. This is busier than quieter zones on ANY other MMO.

Plus the community is surprisingly good. As above call an event and people help and take part. There is always map chat about where and when events are and people helping with skill challenges etc. The nicest aspect is the removal of wow clone standard mon tagging. No one I have ever seen has left me to die or not just helped in passing because you get credit, people are always helping out and chatting which is nice to see in an mmo again.

This game certainly still has issues but it's a huge move in the right direction for the mmo genre.

Guild Wars 2 specs

Hi, my friend has a presario cq57 notebook, the specs he told me were: 4gb ram, Amd processor at 1.3ghz and hd radeon graphics. Is this good enough to run Guild Wars 2? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Been really looking for I can put some time in and enjoy playing and I'm thinking about trying out GW2, Is it that kind of game? Is there a large community around and can interact and play along with people?

Yeah you will be fine m8, plenty of people to play with, maybe a bit quieter in the starter zones, but loads of players around still.

If it's your first MMO it's a great choice.

If it isn't your first MMO then there are probably better choices out there for you. GW2 is very gamey and very different to many MMOs.

Any of the guilds mentioned on the fp that play on Desolation still active?
I bought this game ages ago and playing it very casually. About to hit lvl 40 on thief now but would apreciate a guild for some events and dungeons etc.
