Feel like running head on into a wall...I derped BIG TIME.

I got Dawn as a drop from Jormag...instead of selling it for ~500g I stupidly equipped it to show it off...I don't even intend to get Sunrise...I want Frostfang with a Corrupted Skeggox in my off-hand :(
 
aint played this in ages, looking to get back into it and play some wvw, however i know my gear was crap. Any advice on where to get good gear to own people in wvw? quite fast to? because from what i remember getting gold took a while, and leveling crafting to craft your own set took ages and cost a lot :S

Crafting is reasonably cheap but a full set of rates will set you back about 2.5g off the auction, if you want exotics you need to put in a lot more time in either WvW for badges of honour, do dungeons or attend dragon fights. None is quick and farming gold by selling collected resources is possibly the fastest route, but still not rapid. You played before though and may find what you had is worth a mint...

Gear never gives much of an edge, even legendary weapons are only minor improvements on exotics, which themselves are only a little better than rates..

Just logged in for the first time in 3-4 weeks due to work being too busy and other stuff going on and must say I'm impressed. Generally seems a lot smoother and sleeker with quite a bit added.

Also this new refugee stuff, is there any point in getting involved in it?

Haven't logged in myself for 2 months. Has there been any major updates endgame wise?

When 'Ascended' level weapons are released Legendaries will be upgraded to Ascended stats (they did get briefly upgraded to ascended quality and stats when the first ascended rings came out).

e.g.

(see weapon damage)

But when that happens there will be a means of getting normal ascended level weapons as well, so they will only be best in slot for a short space of time.

Epic derp indeed! I would weep a thousand tears. Time to go make Sunrise and sell it to fund Frostfang!


I'm utterly skint atm, got my second Reaver of the Mists, so I have my lovely matching axes now. But not two coppers to rub together :D Don't know what to work for next, 6 more days until I can get my Ascended amulet. Then I'm fully blinged. Best start working on that Legendary I suppose >.<

I finally made Vision of the Mists at the weekend!

Now I've got my exotic Rabid Armour - Orr 42k Karma armour with the same stats as Khilbron's eye wateringly expensive set, but at a fraction of the price. I've transmuted it all with a Profane skin so I look a little different from your oh so common g-string wearing Mesmer tartlet.

I'm geared up well. I just need to get my backside into the fractals and get some ascended trinkets to complete things.

With only a few g left the bank is almost dry now though.

Perhaps I'll post a pic later if I get a moment.
 
Gratz on Vision of the Mists! Your screeny has some weird double pommel action going on however :D

I was always rather disapointed that they used the basic 'generic' model for that greatsword, would have been much better if they'd used the AC GS model like they did with the axes.

Still, looks sweeeeeet :D Gotta love the pink/purple trails.
 
I can't bring myself to go for a legendary just now, I love the idea but good god what an amount of work IF you get incredibly lucky. I do like how they are still rare though, I hope it stays that way even if I don't have any :)

It has a double pommel. That's how it's designed :) I'm not sure if you're kidding or not!
