Guild Wars 2

Going to be interesting to see how this Chinese release affects things - is their TP merged with ours? I haven't read much into it so not sure.

Nope. Everything about it is seperate, the release of the game in China won't have any direct impact on the rest of the world.

Some of the game would likely of had to be changed before releasing out there.. I remember the same thing happenning with WoW because of the rules regarding the deceased (undead content) in parts of asia

Well that would rule out the Necro profession, parts of Ascalon, and all of Orr! Hell, Risen appear all over the place.

I wouldn't go that far its just they have certain rules (laws even) regarding the depiction of death in entertainment/media so whats more likely to happen is no skeleton models, humanoids showing bones, stuff like that

They've also had to charge people for it as I believe there are laws against free MMO's.

I deleted all my characters as I haven't played in about a year and with he changes just thought I would start over.

I've had months of playing nothing but point and click scrollers and moba's so it was horrific trying to get back into this with the dodging and everything. I was terrible :p

A mate convinced me to install WoW again. I rolled a new Paladin and during combat attempted to dodge roll. I've forgotten how well the combat feels in GW2.
In other news I crafted Twilight this week which only took me over a year and a half. I feel somewhat chuffed :D

As you prepare for the excitement and adventure of Living World Season 2, take a moment to look back at the events of Season 1. From the frozen reaches of the Shiverpeaks to the sweltering Maguuma Jungle and everywhere between, Scarlet’s war raged across Tyria and set the stage for events yet to come.

Living Story Season 2 starts 1st July

Is this game not dead now? I uninstalled it when Wildstar came out, servers were empty.
It's still very much alive, although progress is stale.

What server? They've introduced a kind of megaserver system now - at least for pve zones. WvW is the only thing that still remains server specific.

You're a funny guy.

Megaservers make a mockery of your "servers were empty" claims.

Wasn't trying to be funny, even with the megaserver change the world seemed very empty unless you were doing the same repetitive farming crap with zergs.

I was on a few weeks ago and most zones I visited were rammed. Not to launch levels but still very busy.

Absolute rubbish. I've just been in game doing the daily achievements, not farming or in a zone with a huge zerg, and the place was well populated. Always running into someone doing the same sort of thing now that the megaserver changes are fully implemented.

Yep, I've been playing daily for the past few months, plenty of people around, way more than I saw before the megaserver roll-out.
