Guild Wars 2

Sorry I haven't been on in a while guys, yeah I am sure its okay to post group events here, I should be on tonight. What group events were you thinking of?

Finally got back into my Mesmer again, enjoying it now that she's buiilt a little better. The only issue im having at the moment is keeping up with all the ecto I need to get 2 professions from 400 - 500 :/

was super happy when I realised chef only goes to 400 though XDXD

400-500 is only needed if you plan on crafting Ascended weapons/armour. Otherwise i'd just stop at 400, as 400-500 is very expensive.

Also if you want to get loads of ecto then Silverwaste event chain and chest farming is where it's at.

yeah I plan to give ascended a shot, and I was looking int othe silverwastes, after completingthe world bosses for the day, thanks for the tip

Any plans for dungeons tonight, im level 25 now, so would love to get involved in one

Think you need to be level 30 for your first dungeon (Ascalon catacombs story mode, and 35 for explore mode) then every subsequent dungeon appears to come available every 5-10 levels (occasionally missing one out)

Soon as you hit 30 though give me and/or newts a shout, we're always up for it :D

ill be in on this action too, been itching to play mesmer in a dungeon and not just WvW

Ok, I may get to level 30 by tonight, but I have the new 3ds coming today so ill be playing that:)

Whats explore mode?

explorable mode gives you a choice of a few routes to go down and complete different challenges, im not sure if you get different loot or not, but its certainly challenging.

Ok cheers, haven't tried that mode yet. Where do I find a commander?

The guys with the funny shape icon above their heads that are usually blue, red or purple. (I don't know the difference between those) they can be seen on the map and often large groups of people follow them around, if you can join them and run with the pack (making sure to try and get as near to the commander as possible really so you're at the front) hit everything once, don't even care about killing stuff, just hit them once and move to next target. Then when you get to taking a fort, camp etc. Stay inside the blue circle and mega XPs will be yours :p

EDIT: I should append this with a disclaimer that i actually have no idea what I'm doing in WvW besides following the commander and hitting stuff as i describe, gets lots of XP though ,especially when you take a fort. Worth checking what your dailys are for WvW too.

I didn't even know there were different servers!? In mine it's all about showing france who's boss! lol (At least i assume that's what the [FR] after Seafarers Rest in their names means.)

I always go in the desolation borderlands, i went into the one with stonemist castle last night but it was completely dead of deso people

2 other servers on mine, both are [DE] germany, nmo tactics they just pile up in zergs and spluge all over us. but we seem to win in the end through point salone

I don't use a specific dragon timer, just chose the one off the top of the list :p
lol fair enough, if its there then its there lol :p I use monster hunter app in overwolf.

explorable mode gives you a choice of a few routes to go down and complete different challenges, im not sure if you get different loot or not, but its certainly challenging.

Story Mode - is just that - It gives you more story following what Destiny's Edge are up to, and is usually much easier than Explorable mode. Loot is rubbish, you basically get a free rare ugly helmet for your troubles. Completing Story mode unlocks Explorable mode.

Explorable Mode - Each dungeon has 3-4 explorable paths which will present different challenges/bosses. Some paths are easier, others are much harder. Upon completion of the dungeon path you are rewarded with a chunk of gold (1-3g depending on which dungeon and which path), and 60 dungeon tokens (which can be used to buy dungeon themed armour and weapons). Each path will give you the gold and 60 tokens per day. Subsequent runs (that day) only give 20 tokens.
