Guild Wars 2

Was gonna go for the ascended blades backpiece but the cost of levelling craft to 500 and all the stuff just wasn't worth it.

Back item stat boosts are next to useless. All the other trinkets, all give you much bigger stat boosts for a lot less. I'm leaving mine @ Exotic as well.

You can make an easy 100g if you buy runes and sigils and chuck them into zommoros. I made 200g in just over a week of 30 mins play a day.

Not sure how this works, as to get 1 rare rune/sigil, takes on average 20 uncommon runes/sigils. And most rare's are not 20x the price of uncommons.

I buy two stacks of 40 rare runes at no more than 2gold for each stack (getting these for 2 gold can mean buying at the right time). Always make my money back, sometimes get a 8-10 gold rune out of 40 runes.
But always get at least 3 runes that sell for 2-3 gold. Its a slow process and sometime I don't make the money back, but I went from 10 gold to 100 in under a week. It was also a time when I got bored of questing.

Logged in and was overwhelmed by all the new info etc. got 3 capped characters (Necro, mess and engi) tempted to ignore them and play through with a new toon to get used to things again :p

I never particularly liked melee in the game, with the dodge system being primary form of damage mitigation I found close combat to be a chore and stick with ranged.

They are god when used right but I prefer keeping it all at arms length :p

Final part of the current living story tomorrow! Brace for epicness. The trailer is giving nothing away, but I fully expect a big reveal in the story tomorrow, either Mordramoth, Primordus, or something equally epic (Mursaat?) Can't wait :D

Boo, so any alts rolled cant/wont/dont finished their personal story then? Recently fired back up and am just messing around getting map completions in zones I didnt before and also jumping into the LA event - was thinking about thrying to finish up my PS (only have ol left dragon to kill), I assume with all the living story updates there havent been any updates to Personal Stories?

Its such a wonderful looking game.

PS happens a year before current LS events, so it won't get updated. LS is the continuation of your PS :)

As for Zhaitan, just get a few guildies together and do it, it's only an hour or so to finish it off!

I'd need a guild for that Hex :) Was running in a small guild with RL friends before leaving the 1st time, and now its just me back on my tod as the others dont fancy it (usual reasons why, lack of Trinity/no 'defined' end game). Hell, I've never even dipped a toe into a fractal :p

Might look into getting WvW on again, or just play my lvl 30 Guardian up :)

How populated is Gandara?

Very. I believe only Deso has more population than Gandara. :)

Have you tried using the in game LFG tool to get a party together? I know its not a popular dungeon due to it's length and poor rewards, but lots of folks will still need it to get their story finished.

Not touched the lfg tool tbh, but then again for the reasons you've listed it sounds as if it would be a bit pointless, my playtimes are sporadic (I could be online for a few hours but be afk for half that time) at the best of times.

I'll transfer to one of the more populated servers next pay day (should never have moved off Gandara!!), gaming budget was taken up by a few steam purchases this month :)

Well if you do come back to Gandara give me a shout and I'll get you an invite to our guild.

We're all players that have random play times and often have to disappear at a moments notice, I've got 4 kids so quite often we have a mid dungeon 15min break while I go throw some milk powder at the baby :D

Got people of all ages, teens to their 50's, about an equal split of guys and girls, and people dotted all over the UK and Europe.

We're the most casual bunch of scrubs you'll ever meet, but we get stuff done ;)
