H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

Graphics were not high on the priority list for EA release, there were other features the devs wanted to ensure were available for launch and would not set a date till these systems were in and stable.
The graphics are something that can be polished up at a later date and is something that takes a lot of work and time but any company releasing a game in EA will not put that kind of time into a product at such an early stage in case the product flops.
What a lot of people fail to realize is not only is this game being released as Early Access it is also pre alpha so although they are charging $19.99 for pre alpha access the game may not even see closed beta stage this year.
For a pre alpha game I personally feel its already looking far more polished and feature rich than both DayZ and Rust with more and more features being added daily to such an extent that most of the Hizzy wiki's have given up updating with guesses until they see exactly whats there at release.
The most up to date place for any information regarding the game features right now is Reddit.

Graphics do not mean anything at all in any game. It is the gameplay that is most important. Project Zomboid for example does not look like much at all but OMG what a game, beats all these other survival games hands down.

Remember though most of the footage in that video is old as a lot of these Youtubbers are spouting the same stuff over and over again using streamed footage

That was a good day, I was laughing for hours to myself about that.

Snap :)

We need to get our old group back together for this game if it plays ok on release. Some of the best online gaming for me was in that group, we had a right blast back then. Just need to make sure spils does not do his long way around marathons.

I am looking forward to killing neil execution style in a supermarket again.

LOL good times. I miss those days. ;)

Hey the Airport was new my loot was strong. I wasn't risking loosing it. So took us the scenic route "Once" We lost enough loot with 6 and his passion for mountaineering.
Very good times. Me and James crossing the road down by Rocky Ford that lead to Hill Ranch. Was possibly one of the funniest moments I've had on any game. A 5 minute walk took 2 hours. The man loves smashing in skulls, I'll give him that.

My most intense time on a game was also on warz with you lot, the mega killing spree down by Smallville, the amount of blue on the floor :D 1 hour of Donkey runs to blue ridge to drop everything off. It was a shame that fight never got recorded. I'd love to watch it again. We wrecked everyone and everything that move down there in that battle.

Ill definitely be down for playing it, I just wont be paying EA access prices for it. See you in Retail. Paying for early access to test a game that is no where near completion, is nothing more than a barebones skelton, that will be FREE when it completed. Madness.

I have to stand by my morals, Ive had enough of this charging for demos crap, I refuse to support it. Specially a company the size of SOE/SONY its not like there desperate for my £20.

*Unless it is the holy grail, then I will eat my words and give in to the cash cow*
