H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

I've followed development, but tonights stream is not making me excited for the game at all.

Plus, with the Early Access being set at $20 and a further more expensive version that gives more server options I'm kinda wondering what the hell that gives you in a F2P game with microtransactions.

Have they detailed what the $20 gives you (apart from beta testing the game which I find unbelievable)? And any more news of the more expensive deal?

watched some of the stream earlier. made me laugh as i could see the dev spawning stuff in and people were like wonder what next im like dev spawn that this and tell mate to attack :p

looks not bad not convinced yet but thats mainly due to other games not being finished in this genre not H1Z1 fault.

I just can't help but think the movement is so similar to WarZ, and it really puts me off and I know it shouldn't! I want it to be a good game, but this genre is getting a bit bloated of late...

How many different ways can you make someone appear to move :p.

I do see what you mean but whilst trying to keep the movements life like then most game devs will eventually come up with something that looks similar.

I think the real problem is they see each other run towards the doughnut table at the morning coffee break and assume we all run like that lol, maybe they need to get out of the office now and again :)

No one has got it right yet though so I am happy to have more and more until one company gets the genre right. Although project zomboid already has it right but the style does not suit everyone.

I get what you mean, but the WarZ movement was anything but lifelike to me - it felt as if there was no "weight" behind your character at all, and you kind of floated / glided around. Maybe I'm just spoilt by ArmA :D
Try playing 7 days to die, that's even worse
Have and still do occasionally play 7 Days! I do enjoy it, but only for the base building side of it. Everything else is rather meh.

Fingers crossed for that day!

CohhCarnage's H1Z1 Pre-Early Access Survivor Stream Part 2

On Youtube, has the odd sweary

Im really interested to have a first hand look at the Zombie AI, they respond to sound (especially area chat), sight and are drawn to heat sources, bring on the fun :D

Pressing tab to see what is inside a nearby container without opening it is lame.

See I heard them say that but I'm yet to actually see it happen from the streams I watched. Containers all needed to be opened, and even then loot didn't appear in proximity, only on interaction with the container.

Don't know what to believe!
