H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

Found a group of people yesterday, in a sort of holiday camp setting (loads of bungalows) and surrounded by zombies. Still have not found a thing in any container.

When going to the container and pressing e do you have to wait a while for things to show, or click the arrow etc?
 
Pretty low for me so far with new spawns. But when they start packing heat, it's fairly KoS. Overall I've come across mostly friendly people though.

Haha, no buy.

but the thing is it's not really p2w. you buy airdrops, these may or may not contain anything decent. you then also have to contend with actually getting your airdrop without getting smashed by other players who have tracked it's descent.
it's not as if simply dumping your money in is going to guarantee you getting uber weapons etc. you could well end up spilling your ££'s and other players nab your gear. I would hazard a guess that when the novelty wears off most folks simply wont bother with paying for airdrops - too much risk for no guaranteed reward
 
Well I haven't had any problems at all. Patches and downtime are to be expected with any new release. I decided to call in a few airdrops (I had lots of SC left from my PS2 sub) and got some seriously nice gear, but a lot of junk too. It's a lot of fun making people think you're friendly and willing to share the drop then shooting them. I've murdered a lot of people who thought they could compete with just a bow, feels good man.

Battle Royale is pretty awesome too. I'm glad they added a premium feature for us non-F2P hardcore players to enjoy. Not to be snobbish but you just get a better quality of player in there I guess?

Anyone complaining can just look at SoE's track record with Planetside 2 to know how good they can make a game.
 
I've only found one in a police station before my last one i found i killed someone for it :)

Ah thanks I will make it my mission to check all the stations to see if I can find one. These seem to be todays patch notes:



Air Drops have been adjusted for balance. Please see Cleggs post for specifics.
Adjustments have been to the servers to better balance load.
Fixes for some server disconnections should improve stability.
Improvements to overall connections (G29 and G99 errors) to the game.
Adjustments to game exit-to-desktop when disconnected (still tracking down more)
Improvements to server selection screen
Loot spawning in both regular and Battle Royale maps have been adjusted.
Changes to the weather system should improve performance.
Fixed a few servers that were set to the wrong modes
You should no longer be able to cause bleeding on other players in the PvE servers
Reduced some timers for crafting

When people see these notes get released try to post him in this thread so we can all see what was changed. Saves us all having to search around if you see them first.
